He does have better WRs and a better o-line. Looks like a freshman at times, but I have watched a few of their games and he is impressive. Bright future ahead for that kid.
I have this need to see his mom on TV 609 times….oh wait.
Not disagreeing, but receivers and o line aren't the problem right now. Rocco is off
Maybe, maybe not. I will take Rocco everyday of the week, but the sad truth is that a team like BYU will be able to pay for better talent than us. Look at their basketball budget.
It’s not all Rocco’s fault. I think Mouser is off, OL is off, RBs play is so different by the series. It’s not fair to put this all on a 22 year old.
It was weird that Zay Robinson, Flora, and Carson Brown were the WR when we had the ball and about 8 mins left. I think we take playmakers off the field all the time and they never get into a groove.
Plug both QBs in with a good offensive line and receivers…both would be comparable. Sadly our o line continues to be mediocre just like it has every year for the past decade. This is the first year in a while where we haven’t had top flight wide receivers
Not putting it all on him. Play calling/scheme is absolutely atrocious, but we can't just act like Rocco hasn't looked bad the past few games. Touch is off, timing is off and so on
I'm not saying you are wrong or even that you're thought is wrong, but since we are a developmental program, is it possible the staff feels the need to keep them engaged to help retain them for next year?

Yeah, you can definitely tell when we're going to run the ball when backup WRs are in. Or at least it certainly seems that way. Same with when Ngoyi was in last year.
Maybe do that against South Dakota and not when you are driving to get back in the game?

He outplayed Rocco without a doubt. I can’t believe how Rocco has completely dropped off a cliff. He has digressed.
Theyve ran the ball every single time from 13 personnel for two straight years now. If I can see that crap coming from section 19, opposing coaches can too
3 ints vs. 0 ints is the difference. We had the chance to go up 24-7 and take total control of the game but once again QB and WR were not on the same page and we kill a good drive with a pick. After that BYU took control.
