*** Official 2025 Chicago Cubs Thread***

you are right but jfc do people like to pile on certain people. let's have a few more complaining about pca not delivery or tucker also. strikeout or ground out or fly out are outs.
yeah, it's just post season baseball, the pitching is just way way better....guys that strike out a lot anyway, aren't going to suddenly become contact hitters

San Diego averaged about nine strikeouts per game through the season, so not too far off what they've been doing. This is one of the better pitching teams in the league, so I'm not sure why this surprised anyone.

Eh, striking out 33% more than average (which includes a lot of games against bad teams) when you are supposedly a top 5 offense in baseball isn’t ideal…

Gonna need the stars tomorrow. With that 9th inning single from Tucker - Happ, Tucker, and PCA now 1/21 with 12 Ks. Ouch.

Not at all. But one pitcher is responsible for those extra strikeouts, and I don't think there is a team on baseball that would of had success off Miller today.

That was an ugly ballgame. Miller holy cow, he is literally unhittable. Like Eric Gagne at his peak, or Josh Hader level unhittable. If the Cubs don't have the lead through say the 5th tomorrow, it might all be over. Darvish has not been good this year, gotta get to him right away.

My only two concerns

1) When Counsell says we need to take our walks to start the game and we swung at every ******* ball 4.

2) Ian Happ in the postseason without Covid is 1-15 with 10 strikeouts.

I don’t watch much baseball outside of the Cubs but have been locked in for the last 2 days - the baseball has been great. This Red Sox - Yankees game is awesome.
