I don't hate going with an opener, but I don't love the feeling of not having Kittredge later in the game
You've got to get 27 outs and it guarantees getting him in to a clean inning with the part of the order he'd probably get anyway.

I'm completely with you that it's hard to wrap your brain around all 27 outs being equally important. Just not how the game was played when we were kids.

Argh, if didn't give up the double steal would have gotten out of it giving up nothing. Guess only 1 isn't too bad.

Not stupid at all, let's start a guy who hasn't started in 4 years all of a sudden when Imanaga has never come in the 2nd inning before.

Stupid coaching.
I get it, you're a genius when you get to second guess. Just because it didn't work to plan doesn't mean it is bad coaching decision.

You're trying to let Shota miss Tatis/Machado one time given the fact he's been blasted by power righties all year. You use one of your best relievers to try and get through that. A couple soft singles ruined that plan. It happens.

The Arraez hit wasn't soft. You also have to factor in the win is blowing in hard against a team who has been lacking in the power department.

Sorry, I dont agree with it at all, these players are creatures of habit and all of a sudden you want to change something that isn't broken and experiment in October?

It's no different than Cleveland today, all of sudden decided a top prospect has to make his ML debut and promptly dropped an easy fly ball.

Yeah you would get credit if you said it was stupid last night or this morning. You waited until we gave up a run and then called it out as stupid.

I didn't know they were doing that until I turned it on, thought Shota would start like hes done about 60 times the last 2 years.

Shota easily retired Tatis and Machado. It's October, you can't be managing scared with your 2nd best pitcher. We'll see if any of these other teams do this, now we don't have a dominate bullpen arm available either.

Comes down to do the right handed bats today with the wind blowing straight in from Center and Right today. Pull it down the left field line feels like where its going to go out today.
