Cease certainly seemed to be rolling right along, but they are clearly taking no chances facing elimination. Handing it off to that stellar bullpen. Got to find a way to manufacture something.
I'm afraid Machado's homer wont really matter. One run probably would have done it.
isn't it funny how some players just can't get going in the playoffs. but it seems the whole team can't get it going.
The homer won't matter. This seems like its going to be a shutout. Can't win if you don't score.
Going to have to see myself out of this thread again. Figured I'd venture back in for the postseason but goodness, what a negative and miserable bunch in here.
Lot of guys make hay against the 4th and 5th starters and can't make contact vs really good pitching.
you are right but jfc do people like to pile on certain people. let's have a few more complaining about pca not delivery or tucker also. strikeout or ground out or fly out are outs.
We get one more chance tommorrow, the offense has gone into a complete shell as predicted once we run into elite pitching.
San Diego averaged about nine strikeouts per game through the season, so not too far off what they've been doing. This is one of the better pitching teams in the league, so I'm not sure why this surprised anyone.
