Have to admit, OU looks better than I thought they would.
Coaches shouldn't have any problem getting guys' attention this next couple of weeks.
SO happy we pulled that one out... but going back to that play call by Mouser... wow! Talk about ballsy... and stupid. So glad it worked.
Running the ball there, if we pick up the 1st down, the game is over. If we don't, we can run the clock down to about 30 secs left and then punt it... and they would get it with about 24 secs or so and most of the field to go. But... if Brown doesn't make that great catch... the clock stops with just over a minute to go and we punt. they have about a minute left to take it down the field.
Like I said... so happy for the team it worked... but that call was really ballsy.... and dumb.

I know we complain a lot about officials, but we do benefit from calls once in a while. Ok.. rarely. But it does happen!
Hope the coaches look in the mirror as well. Some of today’s issues were in them.
One stuck out with an LB just kind of going into the pile inside and leaving a lane off tackle/C gapish.
Also several just flat out missing coverage on a back or TE that was the only available read.
Like high schoolers playing their first varsity game kind of stuff.
I think we all agree the team is gassed mentally. 3 bye weeks this year. First bye week comes at a perfect time. Hope the team just gets away from football for a couple days to regroup mentally. It’s only going to get tougher from here
4-0 is all that counts at the end of the day. Blame this on the schedule. I thought it was realistic to be 2-2 at the beginning of the season. It might have been insanely aggravating but not too long ago we might be 1-3 at this time. I’ll take the 4-0

There were at least 2 plays where Ebel just... ran past the ball carrier. I have no explanation.
Idk… it was a tough spot. Heavy favorites playing against home dogs. 100 degrees. A QB you trust more than anyone on the team. Might as well still sling it around a bit, but maybe a run heavy gameplan would have wore out ASU.
Also, Burkle going out late in the week didn’t help. He is a big part of the offense, run and pass.
Don’t need to burn it. There is plenty to learn from. Also, a bazillion backups played this game and need coached up.
Your should watch the games before 1:11 left. It provides a completely different perspective.

I didn't think he was that bad, honestly. Most of those deep balls he put into a bucket. The pick was more on Brahmer.
