I go back to the 70’s and I don’t think we’ve ever had a better lineup 1-5. That includes the 2000 year and this year our supporting cast is better. If everyone stays healthy we can have a special year. Let’s go.

As we approach the conclusion of another year, we want to pay tribute to notable music artists who died in 2025.

In addition to performers, you may include songwriters, producers, promoters and anyone who had impact in the music industry, or whose work has special meaning for you.

Repeated references to an artist are allowed, but try not to duplicate a track someone already posted.

No limit to # of songs from a specific musician, although we suggest no "hoarding." Post a top choice, then give others a chance.

You may use songs with the person solo or as member of a group, but we prefer it was recorded/performed when they were an active member. Exceptions may apply. Also acceptable: member of duets, soundtracks, et. al.

My former employer would just keep our paychecks the same for all 27 pay periods, which was a nice bonus that few people appreciated. My latest company has been sending out messages warning us that our paycheck amounts will go down because our salary is being split between 27 instead of 26 paychecks. How is your employer handling this?

Anyone know the recovery time from a torn labrium surgery? Will Rocco be available for spring practice, whether it's at psu or ISU? If very limited, how do you think it affects his decision, stay and miss installation of a new offense, or transfer to psu to a somewhat similar system in a totally new environment?

Jimmy Rogers' staff is beginning to take shape. Washington State interim head coach and defensive coordinator Jesse Bobbit is set to join Rogers in Ames as the Cyclones’ new defensive coordinator after coaching the Cougars through their bowl game.

Let’s ride

When a coaching change happens we see players transfer all the time. Everyone understands the surface explanation that athletes want to play for a specific coach.

But if you peel it back a layer, it exposes something interesting, that fans are actually far more connected to the university than the athletes are.

When a coach leaves for another job we don't follow him. Our loyalty is to the school and the place. the coach is temporary.

The relationship is different for the players. When the person who recruited them leaves the attachment often leaves with him. Most don't care at all about the school.

I think the difference in attachment is why coaching changes feel so destabilizing and frustrating. Iowa state is permanent. Almost everything else is not.

We all received a shock hearing that Crooks was out for this one. Then add in the loss of Paulk and the team was short one All-American and two regular contributors. What would happen? Only good things.

Only 3 teams in ncaa have undefeated women's and men's bball programs. That's pretty cool! They are:
1) Vanderbilt
2) nebraska
3). The good guys/girls.

We are the only ones on that list who have defeated top 25 teams in both sports. The only other team who has a top 25 win in that group is nebraska mens bball.
