No. 2 ISU aims to shake free from slow starts Saturday at Cincinnati

Friday OT - Not My Type

I am struggling with topics today, sorry if this one is a little weak!

I don’t overall believe in personality tests, but I do think that they can make interesting guides to help people sort of see the world and themselves.

I think we have done the Meyers-Briggs before. Not sure if anyone has done an enneagram - take it and let us know your type!

I am a 1 with just barely a 2 wing (1w2), literally one point over a 9 wing. Type one is considered the “reformer” - ordered and perfectionist, we believe firmly in doing things the right way and doing the right things overall, even if it leaves us a little bit rigid. Probably not totally incorrect.

Who are you?

Twister Sister Summary - ISU Continues to Fade

Let's face it. CU is an average at best team. Not terrible, but not good either. But that places ISU in the unenviable place of being bad. And getting worse.

RADIO RECAP: No. 19 ISU women tumble to fourth straight loss, 68-62, at Colorado

Jeriann Ritter

Some sad news about Jeriann Ritter. We used to have her and the rest of the WHO crew on every morning as we were getting up and going for the day, but haven't done that for a few years. Then more recently when I've caught her it was clear that something with her voice was off. She just opened up about it and it's not great news, sounds like a degenerative condition and the prognosis is that eventually she'll lose the ability to speak.

Very sad if true. Pulling for her and hope she proves the neurologists wrong.

NIL embezzlement at St Johns

***Just realized this is Hoiberg’s guy at ISU after I posted it! I honestly didn’t pay attention to the name until rereading the X. At first I thought…’what are the odds?’ Yep, it’s him.

NIL but also political…don’t butt hurt at me, I’m not the one who stole or spent it.

But thought it was interesting since it happened at one of our opponents this year, St John’s. Also, I doubt it’s the only case…I bet we’re gonna find more of this in the future.

The political aspect of it isn’t lost on me either.
Gets a mind to wondering how those worlds came together. Seems bigger than one guy.

No matter the sport, why does Iowa State always seem to fail the moment they reach a new height?

I'm going off of memory here, but I've the past decade it seems when any Iowa State team hits a new high, they always lose the next game.

Football vs Texas a few years back. Multiple Big12 football championship games. Basketball being ranked #2 two years in a row and immediately losing.

Am I only remembering the bad things or has anyone else noticed this pattern? What's the reason for this?
