The gap between us and the Belgian players is much less than it was 12 years ago. The difference is Belgium has tons of experience playing high-pressure games against quality opponents.
Very casual soccer watcher so let me ask a dumb question…why do teams give up possession after HT or to start a game by just kicking it down to the other team?

meh... its still #4 or #5 or #6 on a ranking or what american fans care about. add in college sports and it is even further down the list.
could they change the rules to align with the american apetite? lets stop the clock and have some beer commercials every 5-10 minuntes. lest get rid of this stupid offsides rule and make for more scoring. and can we not use our hands a little? we are a hands people.
