I personally never put much stock into that since I have few to no allergies.

But a close family friend is coming to visit who has allergies to whatever. Seems like a sneezing fit will break out at random. Sometimes it's blamed on air conditioning, sometimes the A/C hasn't been on for days.

I don't want to minimize the symptoms since I seem to be lucky there.

What are some room air purifiers people have used that have helped with alleviating allergy issues? If there's something I could get for a room that helps I'd spring for that for the visitor.

Is this going to be on Flo or something? Some OU app? ISU website just says radio, but that seems hard to believe in this day and age.

A monster weekend for college football. Texas-OSU had a massive 16 million viewers.

Slightly surprised but shows the power of Fox, ISU-South Dakota was the third most watched college football game last Saturday with over 3 million viewers. ISU-K-State was only 4 million in Week 0.

So excited to see all these new places opening over the next year.

Big Grove is opening Wednesday.
Backpocket should be opening this fall in Johnston. I really hope they continue to improve. They are one of the few breweries that have actually improved over time.
Singlespeed should be open next Spring (I think)

While vacationing, I almost always try to check out the local tap rooms and Des Moines is killing it for it's size. Better than similar sized places like Omaha, Wichita, Madison, etc. Even beats some bigger cities like Nashville, OKC, etc. Hell IMO Austin was behind Des Moines.

Sunday’s result was expected. Where Iowa State delivered it was the point.

So, I was at the Ed Winger Invitational yesterday in Urbandale to watch some of the best wrestling our state has to offer at the high school level.

A close friend of mine grew up with Maximus Dhabolt’s dad (who my friend is still close to) so my friend and I have taken an interest in Max’s wrestling and have traveled a lot to watch him wrestle. Unfortunately, Max has been injured but he made his return yesterday and lost in the finals to a tough kid that is committed to Northwestern (Jaxon Miller).

Anyway, we are sitting there waiting for the finals and up walks Coach Dresser. He sits right next to us and we introduce ourselves and get to talking to him about Max and the season and just wrestling in general. Really cool to chat with him! Then the 144 final starts and it is Jaimon Mogard from Ames. Coach Dresser is watching the match and goes “woah, who is that kid?! He is super high level, that’s not normal stuff”. We tell him who he is and that he is a freshman and he is just raving about this kid. Suffice to say, I believe Mogard had firmly planted himself on Coach’s radar!

I joked with Coach that we’d remember this moment (the moment Coach found him) when Jaimon was winning a National Title as a Cyclone.

Just a really cool day for me as a wrestling fan as I also got to chat with former Cyclone, 4 time state champion and legendary coach Dan Knight. He was a pleasure to chat with also and so was his son (committed to wrestle at Illinois) and other wrestlers.

Chris Williams & Brent Blum go in-depth on a massive bounce-back week for both Iowa State basketball programs. Now, the focus turns to a daunting month of February schedule-wise and seeding for the NCAA Tournament. Plus, Chris sat down and interviewed Jimmy Rogers last week. The guys give their reactions to that and more, all courtesy of Mechdyne.
