Saw a video that said to expect it on tap in the March timeframe, then cans & bottles around April
To be fair in 2020, the pandemic threw everything out of whack when it originally was going to be coming to Iowa.
I brought several cases back from Illinois earlier this summer, all which have the IA 5 cent on the top of them, and have been getting paid from the redemption center I go to. It's usually the New Glarus ones they won't give you anything for since it's the main example they say they won't take.
I thought by law redemption centers had to take all cans and bottles with the IA 5c on them. Only stores could refuse to take cans and bottles for brands they don't sell.
Is that no longer accurate?
EDIT: I did some research and they can deny any that don't have a distributor to buy them back from them per the bottle bill law. But they have to post all of the brands they will not accept. If not posted they are violating the law by not accepting.
107.13(2)b. Any approved redemption center may refuse to accept containers for redemption if there is no distributor or manufacturer providing reimbursement and paying the requisite fee for the given container. In such cases, the redemption center shall notify the department and must post a notice of the brands it will not accept.

Both. Same as the whole Spotted Cow thing, or before that, Michelob Golden Light.
It's something you can't get but people talk about, so when it shows up you want it.
It's an above average mass produced lager that I think is pretty good. Better than Golden Light or Spotted Cow. Definitely will be in my buying rotation when it shows up at HyVee.
I understand people thinking the novelty will wear off but it won't for me.

I think their acquisition of the Stroh plant in Tampa has probably made it easier to grow West, hasn't it?
I've been the plant in PA and its very old, very hilly, pretty small, etc.
We’ll see but it’s my favorite, luckily I live 10 miles from Missouri so I’ve been indulging. It’s big on the East Coast from Maine to Miami and we were in Miami last week. The Light and Flight have more flavor than main line products like Bud Light, Busch Light, Miller Lite etc in my view. It’s not why I drink it but it is an old established native brand.
I always liked it as a novelty while travelling, but I was surprised how much I actually liked it when it became available on tap in central Iowa a month ago.
Now that I'm in my 40s, all the big beers I used to love are to filling and the IPAs taste either sugary to get to the higher ABV or are too acidic. I find myself turning to Coors Light if I'm in a beer mood, so this is a welcome development.
