Surprised it took this long tbh. Was pretty steady for a few years.
Simple supply and demand.
Demand has gone up so now prices go up.
As long as all users have similar zip codes it’s fine. I’m in Ames and split with someone in DM and it’s been fine but when I tried to split with someone in Cedar Rapids it shut one of us down after a few monthsTechnically not correct...you have 5 profiles...all supposed to be in your home.

That doesn't even get to rental fees for ****** equipment that's been paid for 10 times overDirect TV most basic package is still $74.99 and that only includes ESPN/ESPN2 (as a sports fan) so lets say as an average sports fan you'd probably want the CHoice package to get more sports channels. That package is typically $89.99. BUT WAIT. You have to pay a couple of fee's, including a regional sports fee! So now you're up to $110.00 a month AND that is on a 24 month! agreement.
I'll stick with my YTTV that will be $82/month and i can cancel with a click of a button.
I ended up going with 4k for this reason. I share with my kids at college and kept getting booted when both kids were on and wife and I were watching something different. Now I'm at least set when I'm at home. Kids aren't paying for it so if they get booted at college then tough.Well, the account owner uses the unlimited screens at home and the contributor uses the other 3. A Roku box in another house counts as one of the 3. We’ve been doing this with my mom for over a year now. Works well even though we may have 5 TV’s running in our house at a time.
Good point. And taxes. That doesn't even get to rental fees for ****** equipment that's been paid for 10 times over
We do the same with my in laws. Since I am more tech saavy, lot of times for sports I just use the sign in for the various apps (ESPN/FOX,etc). It's worked for as long as we have had itAs long as all users have similar zip codes it’s fine. Up over 10%, I am retiring and on a fixed income when I retire December 31st. Will they still have the game show network? How am I going to make ends meet? My wages are not going up! (Trying to practice my retired guy cliches)
My Hulu+ Live increased in the last 30-60 days - bundles with ESPN+ and Disney+.Good point. And taxes.
Fact of the matter is you could be paying close to $150 with them.
Hulu Live is about the same price as YTTV is going to. They must've raised theirs recently?
people expect to pay $50 for 150+ channels.
The fact is YTTV/HULU whatever you want to roll with is 10000x times better than DISH/DIRECTV.
My father in law pays almost $300 bucks a month for directTV. (3 boxes, movie channels, etc.) And people are complaining about $82?
Can you get the ticket without YTTV?You pay extra for the ticket.
I still prefer yttv over Comcast.
I think you must subscribe to YTTVCan you get the ticket without YTTV?
I guess you can through something called "youtube primetime channels" for an extra $100I think you must subscribe to YTTV
