YouTube TV Getting Ability to Split Into 4 Screens

I yawn at these disputes anymore. There’s always an issue with a carrier right before an an updated event. ESPN did it with Direct tv (I believe) before football season, pretty sure there was something before the Olympics.

It always gets settled after everyone freaks out.

The only one I really remember was ESPN and one week of MNF was missed.

I think that was with whatever pile of **** owns WHO. I assumed when I saw the thing from KCCI that this was between Hearst and YTTV not Paramount. The local ownership fights tend to drag out a lot longer.

Cedar Falls Utilities hasn't had any Viacom channels since 2014 due to a contract dispute. That's Paramount, Mtv, Nickelodeon, etc.

Still no details on whether you can have multiple sports events across different networks. This has always been the issue with college sports. Can’t multiview Fox and ESPN together.
Which is almost certainly a block by Fox and ESPN. What a joke.

I mean it makes sense...they pay based on ratings and this could royally mess with ratings.

The ratings system needs an overhaul anyways. This should be super simple with streaming. No need for surveys, just measure the number of streams at a time. If there are four streams, then you’re watching them all. Or base it on which show has the sound on.

That's great. I have noticed that I can also view multi-view on the app on my tablet. I don't know when that became available as previously it was only available on a TV. But that's been sweet for the NHL playoffs.

Or they each divide per channel. 25% of a point if there's 4 screens. It's not hard they're just being ass hats.

I haven't noticed it on mine yet but appears the updated multiview is starting to come out to accounts now:
