WV Mugging the Bears

BU must stand for Butt Ugly. It looked like the whole team quit in the 2nd quarter.

The issue is that these guys committed to go to Baylor knowing that there were very loose assault rules in place. Now that those rules have tightened up, they realize they're playing for Baylor and questioning why they signed up for that.

I'm not surprised WVU won in a blowout. An embarrassing loss definitely got their attention. But I expected Baylor to put up more of a fight than that. After forcing all those field goal attempts in the 1st quarter they completely tanked in the 2nd quarter.

College kids aren’t naturally consistent, and good grief Baylor’s were bad last night once their QB gave WVU a head start.

Two years ago when Baylor played in Ames, the crowd around us kept chanting "No Means No!" periodically thru the game.

I'd like to beat Baylor by 60 or 70. I still wake up in a cold sweat thinking about that game they destroyed us in

You mean the game where our kicker got called for offsides? We were outnumbered that whole game.

That was just something the idiot commentary team said. The ref actually said #7 was offside but when you look at the video not a single ISU player (other than the kicker) is closer than a yard from the LOS when the kick happens. It was just a terrible call.

You'd think somewhat knowing the rules of football would be required to be a professional commentator, wouldn't you?

That isn't the game I was thinking of though. ISU was in that game and a few calls going differently could have resulted in a different outcome. The game I was thinking of it appeared the ISU first and second strings decided to stay on the bus.

WV fan not acting professional:

The report states that the fan in Section 134 of Milan Puskar Stadium “scaled and then intentionally jumped over the wall of the South Concourse area following a series of verbal altercations with others nearby.” He was taken to a nearby hospital. At the time of the article, no information had been released regarding the fan’s name or severity of his injuries.

Feels like a good time to dust off this gem:

Man I completely forgot about that. We should have just sent that public reprimand as equal payment for our Diana fine.

I wondered if Brewer was having a "Jacob Parkesque vs Texas" moment to start this game. Something was definitely not right with the Baylor starting QB.

3 picks that early is more Steele Jantz UConn 2011 style. Dude was 0-3 with 3 picks to start the game, and they were all bad.

Was a microcosm of his career.

'I'm good!'

'I'm not good!'

'I'm carrying the team!'

'I'm afraid to take the snap!'

Think that was the RG3 game. Also think we found that the rules specifically state that the kicker can't be off sides during a kickoff.

That was also the same game where we had our own version of the tuck rule go against us. RG3 pump faked and fumbled as he was trying to pull the ball back in, then he frantically went after it because he knew it was a fumble. We recovered it but video replay ruled it an incomplete pass.

Was that 2011, maybe? We got screwed by the officials all game long in that one.

2013 starting with basically getting housed by UNI made the rest of the season pretty on par for me.

Nothing more than a continuation from 2012 of how things really weren't very good within the program.

The kicker can't be offsides on a kick - he is specifically excluded by rule - however the official didn't call him offsides. He called #7 off sides but it was so far from true that the idiot announcers concocted a ridiculous story that they just said the wrong number and the kicker was offsides. No other player was within a yard of the LOS at the kick.
