I haven't seen anything written about how the Bif10 will determine location of the ninth game. If #3 west plays #3 east, where is it played? All the way up and down the standings. I like the concept and I can see #1s played in Indianapolis, but can't play 7 games in one day at one site.

Big Ten Announces Schedule for 2020 Football Season
The Big Ten Conference announced today the schedule for the 2020 football season, including an eight-game Conference-only schedule starting the weekend of October 24 plus a ninth game for all 14 teams during a newly created Big Ten Champions Week the weekend of December 19.
I could see them trying to occupy indoor venues that weekend, especially if they stick with the "no public ticket sales" policy. Something like doubleheaders (11:00/4:30) in Minneapolis and Detroit. Split-session (11:00/8:00) in Indy. Single game (2:30) in St. Louis, Milwaukee, or Cedar Falls.

Will depend on what the hawkeyes do. No other teams will want to occupy the same town as them so they will get the spot with one game.
I said in August that the BIG would play this fall. It's so OSU can be in the playoffs then the BIG can get a cut of the TV money. Positivity rate for COVID is much higher now. It is all about the MONEY$$$$!

I get where they're coming from. Look at the charmin soft schedule that Iowa has had for the past decade. If they're going to include crossover games in deciding the CCG, that's not a fair comparison. If you're going to have unbalanced schedules like that, you should only include divisional games in CCG selection.
You can search back on random years and there's plenty of 'big showdown' games or at least against good programs that they set up for early in the season.
Not exactly 'back' if that's a complaint.
