Who doubts Bubu now?

3 fouls and 2 TOs in 10 minutes of play is HARDLY player of the game worthy. Also, 1 assist..... I thought he was controlling the game??? Obviously he was fouling and not finding open shooters. Would I call it a "bad" game... No. He was a decent to have in the game because that meant that KL was not taking any shots which in turn helped the team.

Game Changer.... laughable

Truth is, we made the run with Bubu on the floor. You don't have to score the points to be the one that causes the team to play better. Sorry, but I won't back down on this one. I realize the players contributions of Ejim, Clyburn, Babb, and the others, it changed the complexion of the game, and Oklahoma couldn't adjust. I had been hoping for Bubu the whole game.

It isn't that I don't like Lucious, there are times he is unstoppable. Today wasn't the day.

Fred had the intellect and guts to do it...and I'd bet it leads to KL having a great game against KU.

I dont know about love affair, probably just tired or all the haters who say Bubu isnt good enough to play Big 12 ball. I think he has proven again and again that he is.

He's a role player and he played a role today. And if he's not just a role player next year our PG position will be a little weak.

If there was a stat for controlling loose balls or calming down moments of chaos he would have lead all players in the second half by a mile. He calmed it down on offense and played great D, allowing Will, Ejim and Babb to score the shots we needed to get the lead and keep it.

One time in particular I was positive a loose rebound was going out of bounds off our fingertips, guess who's there? Littlest guy in the game saves a possession, no stat for it though.

The word is that Lucious has a hip pointer. It affected his ability to play D and shoot.

Palo is good on D, but his handle still isn't what Lucious has (or DG, or ?), he doesn't have a consistent outside shot, and he picks up his dribble a lot.

Good off the bench for a change-up, but those things (above) need improvement for me fully on-board. I'm hoping Morris takes the job or Naz? makes a huge leap.

He was playing point for Lucious but he never actually ran the point the whole time he was in. Clyburn was the difference in the game. Not that he took over but he hit some shots but mostly seemed like the team rallied behind him and picked up the play with him running the show.

I thought that ball was out. Bubu saved it. Saved a big possession there.

I think Bubu does a great job in there. He's not gonna score a lot, but we need his defense. He's got a quick first step.

Bubu didn't win the game, he did what he's done the last 2 years, which is a fill his role on the team. He will always get hated on by people around here that need stats shoved in their face to see a players worth. Fred assembles a team that can hurt you multiple ways, it makes it so we don't NEED our PG to put up points as long as they play within what works for the team. Bubu fits that perfect, his strengths are things other guys struggle with, he's a great compliment to the guys we have now. Next year..who knows exactly what his role will be, but like him or not, think he's a starter quality player or not, he will be counted on for big minutes.

Bubu was in when we made the run. Give him credit for that.

But he never handled the ball, and when he did he turned it over. He's a PG who the coaches don't trust at the end of games to be a PG so they give Clyburn the ball.

Uh, I'm pretty sure he drove and set up a huge three - all without turning it over.

You know what that makes a lot of sense. I remember him holding his hip early in the game coming off a screen.

What the hell is wrong with some people? Bubu is a good role player. Great teams have star players, but they also have to have people who know their place and put forth great effort, great attitude, and just plain do their jobs. Bubu is one of those.

Or, as the great Judge Smails stated: "The world needs ditch diggers too."

In ten minutes, Bubu had an an assist, a rebound, two turnovers, and three fouls. Despite the fouls, he played good defense and hustled. He played his role, but Ejim and Clyburn got it done.

I don't say there were other difference makers. I just say I doubt we win that game without Palo. I obviously cannot prove that, but Lucious seemed to like the way the game was going. It just goes to show what a great team player Lucious is. I didn't know about Lucious hip pointer but have been an advocate for Lucious all season.

I am sure the reason that Clyburn handled the ball, was the matchup. Fred is always cognizant of matchups, and probably Clyburn had an advantage handling the ball. I am not worried about next year, I just thought Bubu deserved this thread, and anyone who doesn't see after this game how fortunate we are to have him, I have no excuse for.

Question for the non-Bubu fans: does Naz Long get the job done in that situation?

Honest question. I don't think he does, but maybe you feel differently.

I thought the 3 fouls Bubu had were good fouls. I am all for fouling the guy and not letting him get easy looks.
