Some of you have brought up Nick Mitchell. What might be some reasons as to why he'd leave Grandview?

They should have built a wrestling room with basketball, one big building.

They were lucky to get the Basketball facility at the time.

Maybe do something with Volleyball and/or gymnastics now.

I think if you make a popular hire you can get people behind it and to donate to a new facility.

Move up to play with at big boys. The problem is the style of wrestling is so much different when you make that move up. He would have good ties in the state though.

I think we're missing the big picture here. the administration needs to get behind the program. That can be seen through the financials very easily. For example Terry Brands makes more money than KJ! One of the reasons Cael left was because of money and what he knew it took to pay good assistants. Until this happens consistency in the top 5 will never be attainable.

Travis makes almost $80k. A top head assistant commands $100. We're not that far off, but agree there needs to be a little more money in the wrestling pot.

HWC & NLWC have huge budgets compared to CWC & that is private donors not university

But CWC is doing a lot better than most

Exactly but who supports that? The administration. I understand CWC isn't a university funded program but they need to work together like hwc and nlwc do. I remember Douglas complaining about this a lot.

I don't want Schwab. I like his energy, but they've consistently underperformed at NCAA's.

I just want someone that will get the boys to wrestle more aggressive. They look so passive when I watch. I fully admit I know little to nothing about wrestling. All I know is the eye test and when I watch ISU wrestle, it's usually their opponents looking like they have a killer instinct.

He's the yin to Jackson's yang. UNI performs well in season and crashes at NCAAs, ISU sucks in season and then does well at NCAAs.
