Here are my guess, by percentage:
1) 50% chance ISU will be ranked #3, still, behind Auburn and Duke.
2) 30% chance ISU will be ranked #2, behind Auburn.
3) 20% chance ISU will be ranked #4, behind Auburn, Duke and Tennessee.
I could see Duke jumping us because the National Media loves Duke. I think it will be more of a deal if it's between us and Duke for the number 1 spot. I would expect them to have Duke Jump us if it was for number one. This week it's not though.
We'll be #2 with Auburn at #1 and I don't have a problem with that. Auburn has the H2H over us.
We got one first place vote back in the week 6 poll to Auburn's three and were only 14 points out of being #2 at that time. That poll released just two weeks after we played head to head. You can't really give us any #1 votes with our loss to Auburn who will be #1. Heck I could see Duke getting #1 votes because of reasons I listed already above.
If Broome is out any significance length of time, I think they’ll drop a couple and we’ll have our opportunity to jump them then.
Why?It won't impact their tournament resume though. Auburn will get a free pass on a loss or two with Broome out.
Love every part of this however i see KU and tennessee being swapped. TU being boatraced wont help them. If they get to stay in the top 10 that would be a shock IMOMy guess is this.
1: Auburn
2: Iowa State
3: Duke
4: Alabama
5: Florida
6: Marquette
7: Tennessee
8: Kentucky
9: Kansas
10: Houston
Saturday's game at West Virginia will be tough as well. They'll be #2 with Duke #3. Beat Kansas and if Auburn falters with the injury great chance at #1.

I agree with this.Saturday's game at West Virginia will be tough as well.
There were at least 2 voters that had Duke 2nd behind Tennessee, including a guy from North Carolina. I assume at least 1 of them will have Duke #1.Yeah I will be surprised if Auburn doesn't clean sweep the first place votes.
History, the committee has often negated the loss of some of their favorites due to injury. Why?
We'll see. Its still just 1 game and they have several good wins.Love every part of this however i see KU and tennessee being swapped. TU being boatraced wont help them. If they get to stay in the top 10 that would be a shock IMO
Absolutely. If they lose a couple while he’s out, those games won’t hurt as bad. But, I’m looking at ISU to be ranked #1 on April 7th.
I get that...we all do. But as fans...this is something we have never seen before...and yet many (all) of us have thought and wondered how it would feel to see ISU listed as #1 at some point. We are just fans...it is fun to think about and having the potential to witness it just once would be cool! This is what I care about!!

And Duke nearly blew a 17 point with under 7 minutes to play at home vs ND. ND got the game down to 4 points with about 40 seconds left IIRCWe will be #2 but likely without a single 1st place vote. My guess is we edge out Duke by 25 votes. As badly as Duke beat Pitt (who isn't very good anyway), they only beat a horrible Notre Dame team at home by 8. ISU should be #2.
