Yep, and on that note, what happened to the ACC? This was THE power conference in basketball for decades along with the Big East before the Big East dissolved even up until about 5 years ago or so then it's all kind of fallen apart since then. They're almost as bad as ACC football is now, didn't see that coming.

My favorite is when the calendar turns to February and we get to see ESPN advertise the Duke vs UNC games during every single one of the Big 12 games. It get so old.

It still blows my mind that the ACC has become so bad. up until my early 30's, the B1G and the ACC were the cream of the crop and it wasn't even close.

The next two games are big. Our conference schedule is top-heavy this year. We should be favored heavily in both games, but losing to KU under any circumstances is never a big surprise, and West Virginia is a tough road game. If we manage to get through that, then you're 6-0 in league play and of the remaining 14 games, there's only maybe three I look at and say "That's probably going to be a loss" (at Arizona, at KU, at Houston).

I can actually see us being dogs again at WVU.

On the ESPN "Matchup Predictor" we are favored at 63.6% vs. KU and 69.0% at WVU. I don't know how often those line up with gambling metrics, not a gambler!

WVU has some good players but they are on the smaller side and are not very deep without DeVries (guessing he won't play but who knows).

I don't understand how a team gets absolutely piss stomped by 30 and a voter only drops them 3 spots. Especially since their resume isn't anything special.

That's true and Pitino left the conference but Syracuse was already trending to mediocre before Boeheim retired for one and pretty much ever since moving to the ACC.
