I'm not sure it's all on Prohm. Some of the guys he brought in this year look rough. Won't name names, God bless the kids for signing up for this willingly. I do wonder why we didn't see Blackwell tonight? I thought this was some legendary freshman class Steve was bringing in, but I only notice 2 played tonight? Dubar and Foster do look promising, but K-State had way better freshman/newcomers.
We didn’t see Blackwell because he isn’t very good.

Sorry you cannot keep him with losing records in 3 or 4 Conference seasons. Ticket sales will plummet next tear of he is still there. No reason to sit and watch the program go to Ken Trickey Type years. JP needs to find a way to make the change. If we go 0-18, then this year has to be his last.

At the end of the game with maybe 30 seconds to go the TV panned to CSP and he looked list, defeated and someone who does not have any answers. It is time to move on.

Maybe the Football Program can save the Basketball program with a nice NY6 bowl payout or better yet a CFP payout. One can dream.

I don’t see ticket sales dropping next year, but no disagreement otherwise

How is it not on Prohm if some of the players look bad? He is the one recruiting and coaching them. Why would you think this would be a legendary freshman class? Foster was a top 100 player, the rest of the guys were not even in the top 150. Walker wasn't even in the top 300.
Many people thought this class was great because of the ranking. Which it got because there were 4 guys in it.

I’d be willing to see a start to next year and if that begins as half the train wreck this year is, he’s gone.

Depending on the budget situation for the athletic dept, you let him finish the contract. You don’t take money to get rid of him at the expense of potentially losing Matt Campbell.

I have no idea what the answer will be. But I know what it SHOULD be. If you watch this team this year and last, it’s obvious. There is no identity, no plan, no intensity, no high basketball IQ, no rebounding, and we’ve set programs records for how bad we’ve been. No one, not even Jamie Pollard, can look at this objectively and say this is going well nor can anyone see a grand vision of getting better.

Steve Prohm inherited a Top 5 team and borderline Top 15 program over the last half of a decade and cratered it into the worst team in the conference and one of the worst in all P6 conferences. That doesn’t deserve a 7th year. But he won’t be fired mid season and Pollard’s history with a long leash, he may be back for another bottom of the conference finish next year.

Hard to argue with any of this. In watching the first half last night (I went to bed at halftime, thank heaven) it occurred to me that these players have absolutely no idea of what they are supposed to do. (Possible exception to Harris, who is a decent defender.) I have never seen such a disorganized, chaotic bunch of people on offense. I understand that this season has been disruptive, but there were signs of this already last year.

To me, this is a reflection on coaching.....and no amount of time outs will change it. Players play the way they practice. I've never been to one of Prohm's practices, but I'd bet they look a great deal like what we saw last night. And I don't care if I ever see anything like that in JHHC again.

I think he’ll finish this year and next at least, that’s the only realistic option... and it’s not included in this stupid poll.

You forgot option 4, build a time machine to go back in time and hire TJ instead. Its just as realistic as the other 3.

I would really love to just not watch basketball from now until the end of next season, then do the buyout. Save the money to keep paying CMC and then go get a new basketball coach. At this point with Prohm and his horrible failure status.....it is what it is unfortunately.

JP gave a turd too much time and money. AKA made a horrible investment a couple years ago. His athletic department needs to fix it. I don’t care how they do it. Sitting on your hands and doing nothing isn’t really acceptable from JP or CSP but that is all either is doing. Nothing just letting time pass.

That’s on you, hype bro. Blackwell and Walker were outside of the Top 125. Dubar maybe as well. Cant count on those guys to come in right away and be dogs.
