It seems apparent that Chizik wants to make an immediate impact in the Big 12 North and the non conference schedule, but is that possible? Chizik was on the coaching fast track when he took the ISU job, so he has to see opportunity to win, sooner than later. He will be the one putting pressure on himself, as ISU fans don't have super high expectations. Here are what I rate as the biggest factors that will impact his success:
1. Will Meyer return to his Soph. form?
2. Can the new offensive linemen block
3. Can the defensive line create any kind of pass rush
4. Can last years disasterous play by the secondary improve
5. Are the new running backs for real?
Lots of questions...only thing that looks pretty solid is our linebackers and Blythe it seems to me. I'm interested in others takes on this...
