I've been thinking about this for awhile, but wondering - what make your house a "House Divided"?

I went to Iowa State and am a huge fan, but my wife was born and raised in Wisconsin (went to Concordia in Milwaukee and St. Paul), so she's a Badger fan at heart - even if I've converted her to Cyclone fandom.

Surely we can't be the only Iowa State/Wisconsin divided house and that can't be the most unique house divided, right?

Somewhere Iowa
I have a Cyclone/Badger home. I don't really see it as divided because we cheer against the Hawkeyes together regularly. That Second Round game a few years ago did about do our marriage in.

I like to watch sports and movies, but my wife is a teacher so she likes to work on her laptop.

I don't watch any TV/movies, wife loves her shows. If she wants to relax and watch her shows for an afternoon she ensures I have my own plans so I don't annoy her.

I graduated from ISU and have an MBA from the University of Richmond. My wife did undergrad at William & Mary and went to Iowa for law school - she's from Richmond but got a great scholarship to go to the midwest). If you're not aware, Richmond and W&M have a decent rivalry in football and play each other for their last game every year. So, we have 2 "house-divided".

We met on match.com when I moved to Richmond to be a Navy recruiter and she had just moved back after law school. She messaged me because she thought the Iowa "connection" in our bios was fun. My first thought was "Oh no, not a Hawkeye!" But I gave her a chance...

Fortunately, she's not a big sports fan, so she leaves me to my fandom and I've gotten all 3 kids to be ISU fans. I think it'd be much worse if we lived in Iowa instead of Virginia. We sort of follow our local teams, but it's more of a fair-weather fan situation.

The worst part was when her law school friends started sending Hawkeye onesies and other crap when we had babies. I shut that down REAL quick.

Country music.... can't stand it, but my wife loves it. I think it's a gateway to MAGA world, along with car racing, whiskey drinking, pro wrestling, and pickup trucks. :)

My wife went to Illinois, which really wasn't much of an issue for me until last March. I'm still a little bitter about that one. Mostly she doesn't care about sports though, so it rarely comes up.

Since Harbaugh got hired by the Chargers, my girlfriend now despises the Chargers.

My wife is very, very introverted and I'm quite extroverted. She's routinely embarrassed by some of the things I'll say, and sometimes I'm having to explain to people that she really does like them she just isn't much of a talker. I suppose we balance each other out in that way.
