He has poor handle and trying to do too much. He should post up and pass out if there is a double team.
Id be willing to bet their current coach would excel with this roster .
If we are ahead with 10 minutes to go in the first half I think we got a shot. Last time that happened against a major conference opponent was Creighton I believe.

Do you watch the games? He called TOs. We used 2 time outs in first half. You realize we only get 4 for the entire game.
Having a PF play point can be great when your center poses any sort of threat in the paint offensively but since we don’t have that and outside of Milan, we don’t have guards who are good shooters we really need to stop with this Jefferson playing point slop
Seemed like UC had about 36,000 offensive boards today.
The disparity wasn't even that bad but they had many resets and 3-4 looks in a couple of trips at least which can't happen in general and wears a team down.
We aren’t turning teams over at the same clip which means our offense struggles. Half court offense is an embarrassment. Like middle school basketball bad.
The team is paying the price for not using the preseason to develop the bench players into guys that are ready for Big 12 basketball. It’s difficult to play with 100% intensity game after game without help from the bench.
There’s a leadership issue top to bottom.
TJ is a rah rah program builder, not an in-game coach. So it doesn’t seem like he’s going to question Schmidt or our highest paid players when things aren’t working.
Jefferson, Lipsey and Momcilovic are “lead by example” guys, not vocal leaders. There doesn’t appear to be any vocal leaders that can rally the troops and snap the team back into focus during an in-game slide.
Jefferson is a second option at best, but we’re still forcing him into the iso crap he isn’t at all suited for. And he has poor feel for when to shoot and when to pass.
As mentioned earlier in this thread, Tamin should probably be our fourth or fifth option. He just isn’t suited to consistently a second or third option.
We lack athleticism.
We lack the ability to make the correct play consistently.
We forget that offensive half court basketball is a game of passing and cutting.
The staff has had a very poor feel for when to call timeouts, and hasn’t used timeouts to correct the multitude of boneheaded mistakes made by the guys that repeatedly make them.
Finally, it just looks like a tired team. Think TJ needs to have a come to Jesus offseason about either the kind of athletes he needs to run this defensive system, or needs to back off of the trapping thing. It just doesn’t work well when opponents hit midseason form. January records for our teams under TJ shows that we hit a wall.

Same issues as always.
1. Bigs aren't good enough.
2. Not enough shooters to spread the floor.
3. No offensive scheme.
4. Double teams lead to easy 3s and too many open shots for opponent.

Offense just not good enough (scheme & shooting) to get to where we thought we could go this year.
The scheme problem on offense is a major issue on cold shooting nights. We just don't have enough guys that can take the ball to the rim. Especially at guard. That's the difference between us and like Arizona.
I’m not joking when I say I saw more offensive movement and off-ball motion under Steve MFing Prohm. Seriously, wtf are we doing out there.
Need to get back to the ******* basics of “x” amount of passes before a shot goes up. Every single dude out there is trying to initiate the offense on their own. Sad, amateur stuff from a team that has played a lot of college basketball.

Defense and rebounding are just as much of an issue as the offense right now.
For the nearly 25% saying just a bad week, take off the cardinal colored glasses. Just because the games before that ended as ISU wins, doesn't mean the finger prints of the issues we saw this week weren't all over them. We were just able to get away with it with some lesser opponents and home games. These problems have been going on over a month and haven't been corrected, which doesn't give me much hope for them to change anytime soon in the future.
