Pretty much reiterating what’s been said already, but wow that was one of the best episodes of tv I think I’ve ever seen. Best I can remember since early in final season of Breaking Bad.

I think it’s one of the first episodes where at the end I felt like I really understood what the story they are trying to tell. That is generally my only compliant with the show, that I get done watching and not always sure how they were trying to advance the story. Just a great episode, really hope they can follow it up and finish the season as beautifully as they did this episode.

How would Charlotte not recognize that there is a clone of her father, though? Last weeks episode where they discover all of his previous test bodies, you think she'd say something, no?

I guess it isn't that out of the realm of possibility, but the way she has acted around Arnold made me think that there is no connection there.
She may recognize him and be in on the whole thing but on Ford's side, not the Delos Board. It may look like she has The Board's best interest but she could be on Ford's side this entire time.

I can't help but feel the 159 attempts to re-animate Delos over years and years plays into this season's finale.

Remember a good number of the actors think this series could last for years (They're probably wrong about that).

New top brass who will pull the strings at HBO after the merger recently said he thinks a really cool idea would be for Game of Thrones to be 20 minute episodes instead of 60. Thinks it will help profits. Seriously.

It will be an interesting year or so to see if HBO is allowed to continue its brilliant profitable ways or if non-creative bean counters kill off what has probably been the most creatively successful run in TV history.

How many times have you been watching Game of Thrones, Westworld, or Sopranos and thought if only this episode was just 20 minutes I'd like it so much better?

Never. But it is an interesting Idea. They've been talking about doing Mini-Series format for a Song of Ice and Fire spin offs, and maybe a length like Silicon Valley or Barry is a good way to test the waters with that idea.

You can't do drama story telling in 20 minutes bits. And where is he getting the 20 minute thing? That's networks with commercials, not HBO where half hour shows are mostly actually half an hour. Even crap like Walking Dead needs an "hour" less the 15 plus minutes of commercials.
Yeah, and I think that is why they were thinking about going that route. It would be "drama" still but more informative and action based, depending on what they do. Who knows if they will end up going that route, I just know that there were talks of doing a mini series, either a handful of hour longs or a larger amount of half hours.

I will say, although Barry was a bit more Dram-edy, I thought that told a really nice dramatic storyline with the allotted time

You replied before I deleted. I think they were talking about streaming to phones in 20 minute segments. Not sure how they are going to distinguish between streaming/cable/dish to TV versus watching on your phone. Shows like these are not something I am interested in streaming on a phone or tablet, they need a big screen and real sound for my enjoyment.

In terms of content HBO is definitely a case of “if it ain’t broke”. They recently moved their HQ near another studio I work with its like an entire second city was added. Used to take a minute to find parking, now it takes 20. The rest of the merged company should be asking HBO for advice.

Well that was messed up. MiB is worse than Stannis Baratheon. I don’t know if there is any redeeming qualities about him after tonight - which can only mean he will do something totally out of character in the finale next week.

So is Clementine a decoy? You would have to think Ford wouldn’t let some average techie figure out how to hack his favorite host and replicate her talents. There’s going to be a mess next week & I hope that they finally reference the dead hosts in the lake from back in episode 1 this season, because I have been waiting for closure on that all season long.

Interesting that Logan seems to play a role in the finale. I wonder if maybe there is an older version of himself running around the park this whole time as well? I guess that can’t be the case because William told Delos Sr that Logan had died. It’s been awhile since we’ve had a time-jump, so maybe we’ll see him show up out of the blue.

I really think I’m on the right track with my Dolores-Arnold/Bernard theory(which means I’m probably wrong). If Maeve is Team Ford and Dolores is Team Arnold that could set up an interesting S3 with Ake, Lawrence, & Clementine in the middle.

My wife fell asleep, so we’re rewatching right now. Just got done with the Ford-Bernard scene, where Bernard leaves Elsie (again). Bernard asks Ford to stop taking control/appearing and Ford’s cryptic reply is that “You can stop it Bernard, in fact, you are the only one who can.” That should play a significant role next week.

So, not sure where a season 3 would go from here.
There are three robots in the real world... MiB and his fidelity... the robots in the server... the major character robots dead in Westworld but the two pro-robot human engineers (?) can bring them back... Dolores and the purse of black ball memory/info things... so many ways this can go.

I think some of this is keeping actors salaries reasonable. Basically they can kill off almost anyone if they don’t want to play ball.

Decidedly unenthused about next season. I think a whole season inside Bernard/Arnold's head kinda wore me out. Will watch cause Sunday nights bore the **** out of me. At least hope the future world is done well, maybe like Blade Runner or Altered Carbon.

This feels like the series is done or going to flop on HBO. The storyline changed so much from season 1 to 2 that it seems they aost were after a different target audience. Season 1 had mostly action with a few moments of reveals that made you think. Season 2 was just a constant mind **** and it was really hard to figure out what was going on.
