There have been some instances where he didnt say a word. Its possible they recognize danger to him or his non verbal stuff.

They absolutely recognize danger to him. When Ford had the meeting with the MiB in the saloon Teddy was sitting with them at the table. As soon as MiB pulled a knife on Ford, Teddy smacked his hand down IMMEDIATELY based on instinct. Ford even comments about it.

That's the "Good Samaritan" code that exists in all hosts. What that code does is try to stop human on human violence. If one human tries to kill another human, hosts are programmed to stop it. That applies to all humans, not just Ford.

So I'm farting around on the Westworld Reddit page. There are huge theories that are stating Bernard is a host version of Arnold.

Bernard Lowe is an anagram of Arnold Weber.

Interesting, but I think it is a bit of a stretch. Is the main reasoning because of the scene where he tells Delores he wants her to go through the maze? I think that maybe Bernard was, at one time a real human who was the head of programming, but he started to test Ford and was questioning his motives. And that made Ford perform his "blood sacrifice" where he kills the human but creates the host to act exactly as the person, but just programmed to basically be a Ford puppet. Something that could happen to Theresa now. But that could be a stretch, as well.

The scene in the house last week where Ford shows Bernard a picture of him and his dad. We see it from Bernard's perspective and the photo only shows Ford and his dad but really Arnold is in the photo too but Bernard can't see him just like he couldn't see himself on the blueprints last night.

Is that a for sure? I don't remember seeing a 3rd person in the photo?

So it's an assumption? I guess my question more is, what is the significance to that? Other than the fact that Ford has programmed the hosts to not be able to see Arnold, hence why Arnold can only communicate through their "subconscious"
Definitely. It's just a theory.

Bernard was programmed so he cannot see anything that would "hurt" him according to Ford last night. This is why Bernard could not see himself on the schematics. The theory takes it further and says Bernard could not see himself in the photo because it would "hurt" him. So Bernard is a host that looks like an Arnold replica.

Interesting, definitely something to keep in mind going forward.

Holy smokes, is Tony Hopkins knocking this out of the park or what?

Making Hannibal Lecter look like something in community theater.

Some of the acting in this has just been superb. I watch shows like this and then cannot even watch some of the network TV fare. Leaves slim pickings for shows I can bear to watch.

Yep, turned to the wife and said hes a bot as soon as he said that. It helped that he just got done talking about how the hosts only see what they want them to see. They can look right at something and not see that its there. Brilliantly played out by these actors. Still disappointing that it was him. Gives me a sad. Really it started to feel weird when he and Ford were at that meeting and he took one for the team, awkwardly.

I had that moment right before he said that. For some reason, just as they walked into the room, and just before she started fiddling with the door, it hit me that when he was in the house before, and the robot family continued to advance on him despite his attempts to shut them down, it was because he was a robot too-- therefore they could harm him with impunity.

Last night's was sort of a letdown compared to the past few, hoping the last two shine.

Also hope Bernard didn't kill Elsie, really like the character.

Charlotte Hale has Ford all figured out, has to make a big impact on the ending.

Lesser Known Hemsworth might be catching on too. The conversation he had with Bernard definitely threw up some red flags.
