Weinstein getting a pass?

I do not think a civil trial is where one "gets a pass" or not.

I want the guy locked up to rot, the key long gone, but even without those just punishments, his name and reputation are (rightfully) forever ruined.

"Weinstein" is never not going to be infamous again -- good.

Heck, I tried to watch Bad Santa a few nights ago, and seeing the Miramax and The Weinstein Company's logos flash at the beginning of the studio credits put a pretty sour cloud over the whole thing for me before I gave up on it.

I know that is probably not much for the women victimized, but consider how little criminal punishment seems to be coming to the guy, I will take what we can.

Has anyone even started a criminal trial anywhere against him?

From the article:

Weinstein will still face a criminal trial in New York, which centers around two separate charges of rape.
Sadly, we can’t say we’re surprised that Weinstein is attempting to, and will likely be successful in, wriggling his way out of the dozens of accusations against him by waving money in front of those he hurt. Our only hope is that those women involved in the settlement find some kind of peace with the outcome and continue to stand behind those who plan to pursue Weinstein outside of the settlement and inside the courtroom.
