Mertz gets sideways pretty easily and WI trying for long developing throws is a mistake.

To his credit before that first first down he was doubling up Iowa's total offense with one play.

I thought they just played it safe for their field goals vs. ISU because ISU's offense was so bad but it turns out they really have a hard time moving the ball.

Just watch though--WI not punching it in for 6 on two trips might come back. Iowa always has at least one big play to make it interesting.

They’re going to need like 4 big plays to make it interesting though.
