Bit of a knee-jerk reaction putting Iowa at 20th, methinks.

Slow climb for sure, but we're heading the right direction.
And neither Baylor or KSU made top 25?!
The lack of respect for the B12 is sickening. Nobody deserves to be in the top 10 right now but that doesn't make it a junk conference. KState's loss to aTm hurt them but Baylor is playing really good ball. They should be ranked (just threw up in my mouth a little.)
The Big 10 homers voted yuge jumps for Iowa and Wisconsin. The more objective voters had Iowa eeking back in at 24 or 25 which seems more reasonable. It's kind of joke that a Hawkeye beat writer from Burlington, Iowa has a vote.
Well, probably 25% of these voters are joker conference/team homers anyway so probably doesn't matter.
I don't mind ISU being under the radar and lower in the AP right now. Hopefully we can avoid getting everyone's best shot until a few games down the road. Agreed but in reality, the NET rankings are supposed to be the new and best barometer and Kansas State and Baylor are both outside the top 25 just like the AP poll.
KSU lost badly to A&M. They don't deserve in.
This morning, Andy Katz has Baylor #18, Ku #19, and K-State #21. It will all sort out on the court.
Louisville got beat by 10 at home and fell 1 spot. We should be ahead of them.

which to my understanding nobody knows how those rankings are quantified. It could be just one big 10 homer doing the rankings for all we know.
The knee jerk reactions in the AP poll every week are almost too predictable.
Keep in mind Baylor still has home losses to Texas Southern and SF Austin. And a loss to a terrible Wichita State team.
They've had a very good last 3 weeks but voters shouldn't ignore their first two months.

Just like they did with Purdue last week. In week 13 TOE was #31. Now #20. a 11 point increase.
Heck even Iowa State had the same reaction. ISU was #32 in Week 9 to #20 in week 10.

If KSU isn't ranked there's absolutely no point in having human rankings. Seriously, the ONLY reason human voter rankings make any sense is looking at a situation like KSU and say that right now they are EASILY a top 25 team despite the rough start with injuries. The whole point of an AP or coaches poll is to do that one thing computer rankings don't do a great job doing...and clearly these polls don't even do that.
To ISU's credit we had deeper talent and looked better when we were down four guys, but right here and right now there is no way that 25 teams are playing better than KSU.
