He is being recruited as an inside linebacker by all schools except us. Says the coaching staff wants him on the outside. Rhoads is also recruiting him personally so that should tell you just how much we want him.

I think he has been quite a priority for a while and would be huuuuuge if CPR can close the deal. Being that he is from Fla., I'm sure a Gator offer is about a good as it gets.

I have to wonder how much Fla is trying to get his teammate on board by recruiting the two of them. He could go there and end up riding pine for 3 years or come rock the house at ISU!

On a side note, his high school uni's are flippin sweet!!

We're not in any sort of a position to not promise some field time to some of the top recruits... we're playing well and have some really nice players, but if one of the top recruits came in tomorrow at linebacker, I'm confident they'd find a way to get him, Klein, and Knott on the field....

Changing to a 3-4 won't help us get pressure. We don't have the linemen to play a 3-4.

I know it won't get us pressure, but the 4-3 is designed to but we're not getting it consistently.

Why not add a LB instead? Then we have more flexibility, including (gasp!) LB blitzes.

We have better depth at DE. Neal, Nelson, Lattimer, Scott, and Irving are players the staff is not affraid to play. At Lb we have Knott and Klein. No way do you want Taufoou out there every play. The staff seems afraid to put George out there, and Who knows whats going on with Morgan.

Klein could and has moved inside before. If Miles is good enough, he could see reps at LB and get a lot of time on special teams.

If we can't get pressure with 4, taking a guy away won't help. If we want to blitz linebackers, just do it from a 4-3. Btw, you run a 3-4 when you have one huge stud nose tackle. Thus allowing you to play a man short on the d line

Did anyone else notice the play against ku when Morgan was in the game? There was a wide open receiver to the right side of the formation that nobody was covering. The other defensive backs were waving and obviously yelling at someone to get over there. Luckily, the KU guy fell down after catching the ball. Pretty sure Morgan was supposed to be over there judging by the actions of the other players.
