ESPN has neither Rae Johnson nor Kristin Scott in the Top 100 of ESPN HoopGurlz 2017 list. MaxPreps does not seem to have a ranking that I could find, Prospects Nation has Johnson at #91 and Scott at # 96 https://prospectsnation.com/players/ranked/2017 .

Davenport's Jinaya Houston is PN's #75 and a 2017 commit to the Hawkeyes. Houston was the only state player in the Top 100 list and the only Hawk mentioned. Elle Brown is from Iowa and at the #133 spot. Madison Wise, incredibly, is not mentioned on PN's list. On HoopGurlz she is given a 96 score and ranked at the HG's #45 spot.

With three spots open and still available for 2017 things may get interesting in the next commit period (Early Period) November 9 to 16, 2016 or next April-May.

I'm not sure who in 2017 we're going after other than Wise. Anyone have any ideas? We may be looking at Canadians Kyla Shand (6'3" P) and Maurane Corbin (6'4" F), but I have no clue if there are offers out to either.

My daughter's high school team played Madison Wise's high school team tonight. Madison's team won by 15 and Madison had 25 points. She is really a great all around player. Very athletic and very skilled. I can't wait to see what she can accomplish at Iowa State.

Hi from Greenfield, IN new to the board but wanted to give you a update on Madison's season. Thursday night she got career rebound 1000, only the seventh girl in Indiana basketball history to achieve this mile stone. Today she got 23 points and 10 rebounds to give her a career total of 1905 points and 1011 rebounds. She is a special player the best our community has seen we have had our share of good ones. There are 5 regular season games left before state tournament.

Thanks for the update on Madison. Looking forward to seeing her on the court wearing Cardinal and Gold.

Took in my first AAU exp. this weekend. From Nevada so following the AAU team that Lexy Koudelka is on. She plays with both Grace Berg and ISU commit Ashley Joens. This was my first time seeing Joens play and she is going to be a special player for the Cyclones.

Lexy Koudelka appears not to be getting much D-1 attention. Am I wrong about that? Past mention of her interest in playing for Iowa State seems not to be reciprocated. Lexy got recognition from The Des Moines Reg, and more, and seems to have great attributes.

She wants to stay in state. Right now has offers from NIU and Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Hoping coaches at ISU realize what she has to offer. Drake also could be a possibility.
