Hopefully the team practices free throws this summer, we were less than stellar last season, just going off memory and not looking things up.
It was bad at times - but ended the season at 72.9%.

Last year was 72.5%

The three years prior were over 80%

The biggest thing we need out of Hare is consistency. Jackson, Joens and Harris were all nice players last season, but didn't give consistent points from game-to-game. Hope they along with Tanke can gain consistency as they mature.

Also feel that Ariana might benefit from playing off-ball. She's a decent ballhandler, but showed some promise from 3 last season.
I hope we see more than 1 person handle the ball on the court at a time, it would make us harder to ride down the court.

We shot .729 which is better than avg. Even if we shot 80% we would avg. 1.3 more per game. Don't get me wrong, every little bit helps, but not as much as,I expected.
For the record a grand total of 3 WBB teams shot 80% or better (UCSB .808, Lehigh .808, Murray St .802)

There were also 3 men's teams to break the 80% mark led by Wisconsin shooting an eye popping .826!

This is a good start. I see Hansford is departing - probs best as she hesitated too often and was lost on defense. A few others might need to move in as well!

I really do think if Hare had been healthy the entire year, we would've had a much better season and we definitely would not have been playing in a play-in game.

From what I saw out of her early in the season, she seemed like a very capable scorer.
She did score in double digits against South Carolina (and was one of only 4 who scored at all) plus I think she is a fairly capable defender.

They always say that you need three elite players to be a contender - ISU now has that. Now Audi just needs to work on her defense and FT shooting and next year's team could really make some noise.

Emily exceled as a ball distributor. I think we will have to see if Jada can be a good replacement in that department, she only averaged 2.9 APG where Emily averaged 6.2 APG.
I agree and she was playing through limits in time on the floor last year. People keep talking about speed/quickness but for me I want a player who is in control not just rushing up the floor. My hope is that Jada will be that quick player who plays under control, sees the floor and the possible plays to get us a score.

#124 @ 72.89% Puts us just outside the top 1/3 of teams.

Im not worried about assists or turnovers when it comes to our PG spot. they'll both come when you play with Audi.

I care about being able to create your own shot and she can excel at that.
I also care about decision making when you drive. I'm a little concerned about being able to get in the paint and just taking a shot when the correct play is to pass out to an open shooter. The equal number of assists and turnovers could be a result of being on a bad team, but could also be a problem with driving in and trying to take a shot that isn't there rather than finding the open player.

Just watched Jada's highlights. Some remarkable plays in there, some of them ill-advised. So, I ask, not knowing much about our wbb program (I'm old, please don't beat me up. I'll be paying a lot of attention to next year's team. Gettin' into it.)

Any thoughts about how the conversation between Jada and the coaches went? Will the coaches attempt to trim her more wild moves, or do they want her to do the same?

Ball distribution, with Addy and Audi, will Jada be expected to drive and dish more than at Arizona?

Boy, though, she is so fun to watch play.

Sounds like Addy played a large role in getting her here.
