WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

This is interesting to see what’s happening with Georgia…this may be a rebuild year with lots of young talent on board.

"Coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson, entering her third season with the program, added USC transfer Roxane Makolo (0.9 ppg) and Kentucky’s Nyah Leveretter (2.5 ppg) via the portal for the 2024-25 season, who will each help give a veteran presence. The Bulldogs recruiting class is strong too, with four top-100 recruits joining the program. Indya Davis (No. 67), Jamia Woolfolk (No. 71), Trinity Turner (No. 74) and Summer Davis (No. 96) will all step in this year with the hopes of bolstering Georgia’s offensive attack.

Last season was the first time since 2018 that the Bulldogs didn’t make the NCAA Tournament, and they’ll need their veterans to step up to make it back this year."

The loudest voice on the WBB forum (along with the national press) doesn't think the TCU WBB team is for real, opining they will struggle to incorporate all their new players. That's my lead-in for the most interesting game of the day (Sunday, 11/17), with #13 NC State at TCU - 2pm CST on ESPN. I predict TCU will prevail in this game.

I won't be watching, as the 209th edition of Packers / Bears is on CBS at Noon, battling it out for third place in the NFC Norris. Go Pack Go!

Couple games coming up for Hawks that might be worth flipping into to preview future opponents Iowa, Drake and Kansas.
  • Iowa at Drake today at 2:00 on ESPN+
  • Iowa versus Kansas Wednesday at 6:00 on BTN (Sanford Pentagon, Sioux Falls, S.D.)

Iowa at Drake should be interesting. I’m not sure what to think of Drake yet. They have the loss to Creighton who hasn't exactly been impressive this year.

If I get caught up on the leaf raking/bagging I'll probably flip it on for a half. Curious as to how the all new Hawks will look on the road.

Watching Iowa-Drake - Iowa's defense is just letting Drake have open shots. Iowa's bigs are too tall for Drake, but it doesn't matter if they give Drake open 3s every two seconds.

I have to head out to rake leaves soon but O'Grady is 7-7 from the field and Drake started out shooting 70% from three, cooled off a bit from that. O'Grady is not an all-star center but the Hawks do know how to feed the post. And she has not blown the bunnies the passes set her up for.
