Iowa wins by 10+ IMO. Kim has already given enough locker room ammo to Iowa. Iowa is playing lights out right now.
Didn't she poach (wink wink) 7-9 players from other teams in the off season to staff this years team? If that makes her a great coach...well.
Recruiting class rankings are cool and all but if they don't pan out with results the rating is pretty empty. We haven't had a Big 12 title this century so we hang our hats on individual honors, winning the Big 12 tourney once in awhile, a Sweet Sixteen every ten years and making the NCAA every year. That's been good enough for years and I don't see it moving up or down much in the short term. And by short term I mean the next five years. Goal ceiling for next season is making the NCAA's unless we come off with crazy home run hitting portal additions which I do not think we should expect (hope for but not expect).
On where we hang our hat, our MBB program isn't that much different but you'd have to add NBA talent in the mix. And the big one, an expectation that we could be on the cusp of a good run.

I think Clark wanted to go to a team where she was the one and only real star coming to ISU she would have to share and bludder told her come to us and you are the ONE
LSU will bump and shove Clark all over the floor. She may shoot 30+ free throws, but will not get the assists she is used to.
It also has to do with positional need.
When Clark committed to Iowa, they didn't have a highly ranked PG commit yet to take over the reigns from graduating senior Kathleen Doyle. She also committed extremely late -- November of her senior year. At that time, ISU already had commitments from Donarksi and Ryan who were some of the top ranked PG/CG recruits in that class.

This a crazy story about the Maryland transfer to VT. Sounds like she was mad about lack of playing time & didn't even return to the bench after halftime in the LSU game.
I was impressed with the VT coach's interviews & could easily cheer for the Hokies. Guess you never know what is happening behind the scenes & locker rooms.
My gut feeling was that EIU would beat USC, which struck me as overconfident.
We might not like Kim Mulkey because of how she treated us at Baylor, but she’ll have a plan and my gut says LSU in the title game. I don’t like either school and will pull ever so slightly for EIU because I know their grad assistant and he’s a good kid.
Having said that, LSU learns from the USC game tape and finishes their inside chippies better, CC’s supporting cast gets overrun (Kate, McKenna, etc) and Clark’s 30 isn’t enough. It’s close into the 4th Q, but LSU wins by 8, 70-62.

So you don’t think much of TJ, our men’s coach because he had poached even more than that for ISU?
Just realizing that she prefers going left and the big shots happen with her at least stepping left or driving left. Make her go right and it will be more drives and passes than anything. Generally passes.
can someone explain to me how teams are so careless against the ball against Iowa? is there defense really that good?
