WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

More from Bluder on Iowa's loss - cry me a river.

Bluder was less pleased with the officiating, although she credited how well the Bluejays played.

"I do believe that that game was called differently than what we've seen all year, and I really think that's unfortunate," Bluder said. "We average going to the free throw line 18 times; we go eight tonight. We averaged 34 fouls being called in [our games]; 22 were called tonight. It's pretty frustrating when an NCAA championship game is called completely different than the 30 games that prepared you for this point, and that is very frustrating.

Here’s another losing coaches quote:
“Their really, really physical….We’re pretty finessey.” Nicki Collen after Baylor missed the Sweet 16 after 12 straight.

Funny, I always thought USD played a style similar to ISU. Baylor claiming to be “finessey”? Both teams must have switched up their styles for this one.
Nicki may have a drinking problem it seems.

She’s done a pretty good job at UMKC. Couldn’t beat South Dakota though. Then again, neither could Baylor

This is the 3rd time they have lost a Coach to the Big 12

Brian Alger to KSU
Candace White-Whitaker first to associate coach at OSU then to Texas Tech

Kacie Hoyt to OSU. She had the perfect name for her old job.

She used this excuse for the losses to Iowa State and Ohio State. If they don’t shoot a lot of free throws it is the officials. You have to adjust the game plan and how you play based on your opponent and the way the game is being called. It they won, there would have been no mention of the officials or free throws.

NC State rolls by 32.

Oklahoma-Notre Dame and Michigan-Villanova coming up at 5:00 (CT).

Always disappointing when you see coaches…those who are role models for their players…act like jerks, whiney, blame pointing, etc. Mulkey I a good example as is Bluder.

This is a clip from the press conference after the Jackson State game. What a piece of work! Glad she left the Big 12. She seems to fit right into the SEC.

Guess I'll have to cheer on the Buckeyes tonight ..lol

60-25 at half. Cripes.

8 FG and 16 TO ain't gonna get it done when you don't play defense.

OU has had games where they don't play defense. They are very similar to Iowa, they want to beat teams by outscoring them and that doesn't happen against good teams.

What I find perplexing is that they somehow beat Baylor twice. I said pre-selection I didn't think they deserved to host. They've had a good season but not #4 seed material, seemed mostly built on those Baylor wins.
