WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

Yeah, that kind of stuff doesn’t work with me tons of bitterness on this board. I’ve been nothing but pleasant and here come the haters….

I like Iowa State and if this was an Iowa board and they were throwing a fit about Iowa State I’d call them on their BS as well…. It’s honestly ignorant, but this will really frost you, generally speaking. I find ALL Iowans to be similar regardless of fan bases and a lot of them are like this…

U be u brother…. i’m not gonna take it nearly that seriously. As it turns out nor did the national media considering they moved Iowa up two spots after they lost by 50 points that had to piss off a lot of Iowa State fans lol
This could be part of the push to make UCLA the #1 overall seed (which I think they should be) over UCONN. It hurts UCONN for their schedule as their conference is so weak. Makes it seem the win was over a higher ranked team so a + for UCLA.

The Big East sucks but UConn still had nine Quad 1 games. UCLA played 19 of them though. Crazy SOS and went 18-1 in those games. Will be interesting to see if UConn can flip a switch by the time they reach the Sweet Sixteen and have to play a ranked team. They have not played a team that is currently ranked since they played Iowa in December.

No….honestly I do not like UCONN much, but seriously how do you drop them. And they are traditionally the media darling, UCLA is not.

Nobody is beating UCONN - I believe Sarah Strong will be the next 4X National Champion and displace Dianna T or Brianna S as the greatest Husky of the Geno era. Strong’s mother was multi-time All American at Harvard and engineered the first 16 seed defeats 1 seed in NCAA history, with 35 points and 14 boards to beat Stanford. Her mom played ten years in the W. Her dad played at NC State followed by 15 years in Europe.

I’m not a gambler, but if I was, I’d take UCONN and give you the field with odds. If Strong avoids serious injury, she’s a serious candidate for an undefeated career!

UConn is good, no doubt. But this team hasn’t faced many decent teams since December. Beat Michigan by 3 and while they handled Iowa (who has improved greatly since) it wasn’t nearly as dominating as what UCLA did to them. Would I bet against UConn. Nope, but a final of UConn and UCLA promises to be an amazing game…if they both get that far.

I think that it is a UConn vs UCLA final. I do not think anybody is close to them.
I think UConn win by 10-15. They are out of this world.
I hate the projections that show us as a 9 seed in UConns bracket.

NCAA announced the 16 host teams (alphabetically, no seed numbers) today:

Duke
Iowa
Louisville
LSU
Michigan
Minnesota
North Carolina
Ohio State
Oklahoma
South Carolina
TCU
Texas
UCLA
UConn
Vanderbilt
West Virginia

10-seed Evansville advances to the Valley final.

10 wins this season, and 3 of them happened this week.

Missouri State and Louisiana Tech setting the game back a few decades.

39-33 with 8:00 left in the game, and it stayed that way until LT hit a 3 with 0:31 left to make it 39-36. Neither team scored in seven and a half minutes.

Entire 2nd half was a 20-12 game. Woof. LT shot 23% for the game. 15/66.

Could be a nervous evening in the Big 12 tomorrow. You could make cases for Colorado, Kansas, Arizona State, and BYU -- but it's razor thin. I'd love to get 3 of those 4 in, but 2 is probably more realistic.

Hope TCU is the 3 on Iowas side. TCU matches up well with them if they both get to the sweet 16. Though if Iowa is matches up with a physical SEC team in the 2nd round they could get beat.

Good for West Virginia. I thought they might drop without Quitterly, but they have not at all.

Agreed although KU and BYU are the two most likely left out. I’m still amazed at Colorado.

Charleston (26-5) & Hofstra (11-21) face off in the CAA championship tomorrow. Neither has ever made the NCAA tournament before.

Yes I would love for them to play TCU, I like that matchup. And Crème has Iowa playing Georgia in the 2nd game….that would be awesome too

UTSA and Rice playing in Birmingham.

On-camera shot of the announcers coming out of halftime, and there are ZERO people behind them. Not even way in the back. Just a trash can and a backpack.
