Oooof. Had a feeling it was gonig to be ugly, but not that ugly. UCLA is so, so good. On top of that, they're a really bad matchup for Iowa because their greatest strength is the same as Iowa's greatest strength, only their greatest strength is way, way better. Still very proud of this team and the job JJ has done getting them to the title game in the toughest WBB conference in the country and a very high seed in the Tourney.
I’m assuming you’re aware there’s a significant difference in floor time for the 2 correct, and I’m assuming you are also aware Addy actually committed a lot more TOs per game as a Frosh ?!

I'm assuming you're aware it's silly to compare turnovers 1:1 when two players vary widely on minutes played.
2025-26 Deal: 4.6 turnovers per 40 minutes, 6.3 turnovers per 100 possessions, 25.4% turnover percentage
2023-24 Brown: 3.9 turnovers per 40 minutes, 5.4 turnovers per 100 possessions, 21.9% turnover percentage
What do you think a rivalry is. I hate Iiwa fans who tell me they cheer for Iiwa Stste when not playing Iowa, I call BS, they are just being condescending. I hate Iowa. I do not cheer for Iiwa, I went to Iiwa Stste did not grow up in iiwa, why would I cheer or care for anything Iowa? After all they are a school the wears ANF with no farm school pure BS to get random people to cheer for Iowa.
All the UCLA game shows is what a few have said...the teams in the 1-5 slots are light years ahead of any team after that. UCLA would beat our beloved Sisters by at least the same margin. They have a near perfect lineup that any team would envy.
As for Wartburg's comment about the empty seats...the lack of KSU or ISU in the final always spells emptiness. I was impressed with the number of KSU fans that were at this tourney...especially when they weren't expected to go far. Definitely rivaled what ISU brought to KC (which seemed down this year).

Correct. Iowa looks to be in good shape for the future. UCLA started 5 seniors. Iowa 3 sophomores. They’ve done a good job of integrating the younger players into key roles. I thought Deal looked as good as any Iowa player today. But the bar was pretty low, right?
