WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

Kansas without their star freshman recruits looked "okay". Gophers looked less than that. Looks like another bubble team year for the Gophers. That's a shame in a state that churns out so many good players. And I can save a few bucks and not sign up for BTN+ to watch them.

Former recruiting target Britt Prince is off to a great start in first five games this season for Huskers. She averaging 21 pts and shooting 57% from three and 62% overall. Granted, not P4 play but still a great start.

She had a good freshman season at Nebraska but sort of gets overlooked by the Big Ten PR machine with Huskers being "almost" good. She's a regional recruiting miss I wish we had won, think she was a perfect fit for our system and roster. Still, musing some, maybe she won't have been happy here playing third fiddle until she was a senior. If she averages 20/game in Big Ten play folks will have to take notice.

Troy leading Mizzou 82-59 at the under-5 timeout in the 3rd quarter.
Troy finished last season at NET 109, so they are a decent team. Still, that's a shocking score.

Final score: Troy 100, Missouri 82.

Main stats: Troy had 16 offensive boards to Missouri's 4, and 9 turnovers to Missouri's 18. That allowed Troy to attempt 21 more FG than Missouri, which was the difference.

Anybody know why #19 Iowa is favored over #7 Baylor tonight at a neutral site?8pm ESPN2 btw.

Because the odds makers didn't knee jerk voting Baylor into the Top 10 for beating a ranked Duke that is no longer even in the Top 25? I think Iowa's maybe pretty good. Undecided on Baylor, I've only seen the game in Paris and it was just too weird an opening game to gain a real impression. Going to be a good watch IMHO.

Iowa has TEN offensive boards at the half. Shooting horribly from the field (26%). Then figure they are 33% from deep and you know they've missed some easy shots.

Iowa is down two starters now. Stuelke at the end of the 1st half and now their PG, Wright, was just carried off the court. Pretty sure she has a concussion. She sat up but was to unsteady to walk on her own.

Stuelke just got back. Baylor plays kind of rough, noticed it when we played last year - and they get away with it. Now they're starting to call more on them it seems, Baylor bench is not pleased.

Iowa is going to be a problem. Their post play has gotta be some of the best in the country. Ball movement and defense is also good.

Cincinnati may just need to forfeit their season. A Big 12 team losing to Ball State by 20. Sho is looking like they are going to be feeding off the bottom side in this conference.

That sure seems like a flagrant foul on Iowa. Made no attempt at the ball, just swatted her in face.

If they could just shoot they'd be thumping Baylor. As of right now they have missed 31 shots and 5 free throws.

Baylor 5/23 from 3, but they keep jacking them up. Playing right into Iowa's hands.
