WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

I still say watch out for Utah and Baylor. Both are somewhat being overlooked and they have the potential to beat anybody, particularly Baylor. I don't think TCU and KState are going to really sneak up on anybody as they have already shown that they are contenders and their rankings are putting them in the spotlight. I don't believe the Big12 has any team that will make it past the Elite 8 but I think there are at least 6 very decent teams in the conference.

I agree with you. I think TCU is making some points and also shows some weaknesses. KSU is interesting as they are showing Lee isn’t the only thing that makes them tick. Utah is the enigma. Are they for real or not? They sure showed something against Notre Dame. But like many haven’t had the toughest, but not the weakest non-conference. WVU and Baylor have shown they are tough, but beatable. After that there is a middle group where teams could emerge or fade away. ISU, OSU, KU, CU, etc. Those teams are going to be fighting to join that upper tier and right now that’s going to be tough to do.

I really regret that the TCU - CO game and the OSU - BU game is too close together today. I could have easily made both of those games if the starting time in Waco had been even as early as 2 o'clock. So I guess I'll (hop) no pun intended, over to Chilis after the game here and watch the Frogs on E+. And of course I will also have to miss the majority of the ISU game today if I watch the local game. If only they would let me make the schedules. Problems problems problems

Watched the Texas Oklahoma game yesterday. A. Joens never got off the bench and the game was a foul fest and a number of the 5th year players did not look that good and a couple of the players with playing time from last year did not impress me with their play. Texas has a freshman that looked very good and both have big transfers in the post that played well at times except Beers for OK got in foul trouble.

It’s been strange that Joens has been relegated to the bench several times this year

She did not look happy when the camera was on her. She did not really act like she was part of the team and cared. You have to wonder if she has regrets about leaving as she would have gotten IMHO more playing time here if she had stayed.

Reminds me of the old adage..."sometimes the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence." Several of the players who left seem to be adrift...

It would be interesting to know the pitch that they got to go to Oklahoma, Baylor and North Carolina as those three never got what they supposedly were looking for.

Barn burner in Tennessee.

87-86 Oklahoma survives...

A Jones entered the game in the 3rd quarter, but I don't think she was in for more than a minute. Box score doesn't show any minutes....
