WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

Thanks for nothing Baylor. Pee'd away your chance to close to within a game and move us into a tie for first. Baylor = less than the sum of their parts.

I don't think there's really a chance we finish ahead of KSU anyway in the standings so I'll take a Baylor loss to push them further away from us.

I watched about the last minutes of that game. Of course it was great to see Iowa lose but I noticed after a little bit that they weren't breaking for commercials as much and it made it actually fun to watch. I don't watch much men's basketball because the games are unwatchable with the mandatory breaks every half. And I think the mandatory breaks for the women's games are fewer. If that's the case I might watch more. But it also may have had something to do with the fact that the game was starting to eat into the NFL pre-game show so the network brass didn't want to delay the ending.
Men have four scheduled breaks (under 16, 12, 8, 4). Women have three (Qtr, under 5 in each Qtr).

WTF was Walker doing chucking up that 3 with like 9 seconds left?

Woof. Baylor pissed that down their leg. K State snuck away with one for sure.
Baylor last night was a repeat of their performance in Ames. They played well for 35 minutes and fell apart over the last five minutes, costing them the ballgame.

They don't have a go-to player in the final minutes, and it showed again last night.

Baylor lost 3 out of the last 4, the last loss being bad comedy bb, in their new arena, as mega-donors, watched. This can not be great job security for Nikki Collen. Conference last UCF almost started the head roll. Guess we have to take out KSU on our own.

It's contender or pretender week in the Big 12 as we hit the halfway mark this weekend. 1st place KSU stayed undefeated by beating Baylor at Waco. Baylor seems have fallen to pretender.

Tonight
OU @ true contender Texas. OU with only one loss but haven't played much of a schedule.
One loss ISU at Kansas in first of two stay as a contender games this week.

Saturday/Sunday
ISU @ WVU. WVU only game of the week before moving back to cupcakes the Big 12 gifted them.
Cinic @ Texas. Woof, Texas for sure.
BYU @ KSU. KSU proves it.
Kansas @ OU - Back to Sooners playing the lower or mid-tier.
Baylor @ OSU - meh

#1 South Carolina Gamecocks @ #9 LSU for Gameday on ESPN. LSU has won 29 straight at home; SC 27 in a row on the road.

Was a good game, fun to watch, both teams going to be very tough to beat come March. I still believe at 18-3 and 5-2 LSU's season is already an epic failure given the superteam they assembled, no excuse for them to not go wire to wire at #1 and undefeated.
Well, until they run into the pure superteam of Caitlin Clark. She doesn't even need any other players as she can win games going 1 on 5.

Looks like a professional team that uses all of their salary cap on a couple stars. LSU has NO bench and if they have any foul trouble (like when Reese fouled out) they have no competent backups.

OSU and Iowa State have shown the recipe to beat Iowa. I won’t be surprised to see them go down by the Sweet Sixteen.
