Maybe if we get him there in the next couple weeks, he'll decide to step aside? Doubtful with what we have returning but, one can dream I guess.
Man…the team is on a roll and all you can focus on is getting rid of Fennelly? I’m excited to see what they do next year with the tools at hand. Would be VERY tough to have this talent coming back and force them into a new system…that’s a dicey proposition.

I Agree, a quick transfer point guard is a priority. Kenzie being out forced us to go inside more than expected, and added to the isolation (hero ball) developments.

It should help that next year the grad heavy teams give way to our gals being one of the most experienced squads in the conference...presuming our core four Souphomores all hang together in this age of transfers.

The one benefit of Kenzie being out? It gave Joens a chance to emerge.

I was looking at how much better this year could have been if we'd have played team ball instead of star ball in some games but, In giving it more thought, you are correct, this in not the time to change coaches.

I agree that we have loads coming in and returning and to make them change systems would be a determent to next season. I don't think BF leaves anyway, I think he goes out when Audi and Addy are done here

I will enjoy the ride with this team while still wishing BF would change his stubborn tendencies.
Agreed

Emily would already be at 1,000 assists without the minute restriction and that one game she missed. Now that the minutes restriction is relaxed, she might still have an outside chance if the Cyclones can find a way to play at least four more games and she continues to play well. To make it interesting, let's make a run to the championship game in Kansas City. Sounds fun to me.

Audi is close to breaking the single season scoring record as well. I feel like several "Ryan, down low to Crooks, off the glass GOOD!!!" sounds fantastic for the tournament.

Updated with today's game. Notes:
  • Emily is 23 assists from 1000. ISU still has 2 guaranteed games assuming we play in a postseason tournament (seems likely now). Here's the remaining apg needed to hit 1000 based on remaining games played:
    • 2 games: 11.50 apg
    • 3 games: 7.67 apg
    • 4 games: 5.75 apg (she's averaging 6.29 apg on the season)
    • 5 games: 4.60 apg
  • Emily is #2 in career steals. She needs 10 to tie Tracy Horvath. Emily is averaging 1.77 SPG this season, so it isn't outside the realm of possibility (she's on pace to tie in 5.7 games).
  • Audi is now #2 in points in a season at 733. Barring injury, she could threaten Bridget's single-season scoring record of 760. Here's what she would need to score to match the record:
    • 2 games: 13.50 ppg (she's averaging 22.91 ppg on the season)
    • 3 games: 9.00 ppg
    • 4 games: 6.75 ppg
    • 5 games: 5.40 ppg
  • Audi is now #1 in FG made in a season. Second place is freshman-year Audi.
  • Audi is now #18 in career points. Emily remains #12, but is only 13 away from #11 (Lacey), 32 away from #10 (Bolte), and 38 away from #9 (Seanna Johnson).
  • Sydney Harris is #1 in career 3FG% with 47.5% and Kelsey Joens is #6 with 41.4% (#2 is Stacy Frese with 45.3%).
  • Here are all the sophomore records being challenged by our sophomores:
    • SEASON TOTALS
      • Points: Audi #1 with 733 and Addy #7 (up from #12) with 496 (Ashley Joens is #2 with 594).
      • FGM: Audi #1 with 290 and Addy #5 with 179 (Tonya Burns is #2 with 191).
      • FGA: Audi #1 with 487 and Addy #8 with 364 (Lexi Donarski is #2 with 454).
      • FTM: Audi #2 with 143 and Addy #9 with 95 (Ashley Joens is #1 with 187).
      • FTA: Audi #2 with 209 and Addy #8 with 126 (Ashley Joens is #1 with 232).
      • Off Reb: Audi #9 with 70 (Chelsea Poppens is #1 with 112).
      • Def Reb: Addy #1 with 214 and Audi #6 with 175 (Ashley Joens is #1 with 212).
      • Tot Reb: Addy #5 with 248 and Audi #8 with 245 (Ashley Joens is #1 with 317).
      • Assists: Addy #7 with 165 (Emily Ryan is #1 with 249).
    • SEASON AVERAGES
      • Points: Audi #1 with 22.91 and Addy #6 with 15.50 (Ashley Joens is #2 with 20.48).
      • FG%: Audi #3 with 59.5% and Addy #9 with 49.2% (Angie Welle is #1 with 64.7%).
      • 3FG%: Kelsey #3 with 44.6% (Kim Van Deest is #1 with 52.4%).
      • OReb: Audi #9 with 2.19 (Ashley Joens is #1 with 3.62).
      • DReb: Addy #3 with 6.69 and Audi #7 with 5.47 (Ashley Joens is #1 with 7.31).
      • TotReb: Addy #7 with 7.75 and Audi #8 with 7.66 (Ashley Joens is #1 with 10.93).

They said this was Audi's 65th double figure scoring game in a row. Isn't that a new ISU record? I thought Welle held the record at 64 games. Or am o wrong?

Emily's free throw percentage this season is an amazing 95 percent! 66 of 70. Is there a minimum number of attempts to be listed in the season record?
