***WBB 24-25 Record Watch***

Updated with yesterday's game. As noted in many places, Audi now has over 1000 career points.

Emily is starting to close in on 1000 career assists. She's at 890 and averaging 6.75 per game. At that rate, she'll hit 1000 in 17 more games. We have 15 regular-season games left plus at least one conference tournament game and at least one postseason tournament game (NCAA is in question, but we're not a school that turns down the WNIT if it comes to that). So it could be quite close whether she makes it to 1000.

Updated with yesterday's game. Some notes:

Emily Ryan:
  • At some point recently, Emily entered the top 10 in career defensive rebounds
  • Emily is 6 assists away from 900 for her career
  • Against Kansas, Emily passed Ezell to be #4 in career steals
  • Emily is, for the first time (I believe), #1 in career FT%. She's at 87.921% vs. Bolte's 87.917%.
  • Emily would be #1 in single-season FT%, but she only has 35 FTA and the minimum is 50.

Everyone else:
  • Arianna is back up to #10 in career 3pt%
  • Audi continues to threaten the single-season scoring average record. She's #2 at 23.0 ppg to Ashley's 2020-21 24.2 ppg.
  • Sydney's 50% 3pt% is #4 for a single season. Wilson's record of 53.7% is reachable.

Updated with Saturday's game. Nothing big to note -- Emily is 2 assists from 900 now, and she remains #1 in career FT% after going 1-1. Sydney upped her 3pt% but is still #4 for a single season. Arianna is now #9 in career 3pt%.

One thing to note: Stacy Frese is ISU's all-time leader in 3pt% at 45.3%, with 100 attempts minimum. Sydney is currently 36-71 -- if she keeps her percentage up, she could find herself #1 on that list later this season.

Harris is shooting from 2'-5" further out. Basket height remains the same though. ;)

Rebuttal: a fair number of Stacy's threes were from 2'-5' (or more) behind the arc. When you're listed at 5'8" and don't have a high release, you have to find other ways to get shots off.
I don't think we ever will see a player as scrawny as Stacy was that is as tough as Stacy was.

I think our current Joens is awfully close.
Frese was listed at a very generous 5'8" and couldn't have been 140 lbs. soaking wet.

I was mainly referring to how often you see them (Joens and Frese) flying around the floor and often on it during a game. Both are speedy and aggressive. Frese loved to lead the offense and run, which is something Joens doesn’t do nor is she asked to. Both are tougher than nails.

No disagreement that she is as tough as nails. But Stacy looked like a stiff wind would blow her away and yet she took hit after hit and just bounced back up and drained another 3 in your grill.

Updated with yesterday's game. Notes:
  • Emily Ryan is 4 points away from Stacy Frese for #12 in career points (granted, Frese played three seasons and Ryan is on season 5). Emily is also 10 points from 1500.
  • Emily is 93 assists from 1000 -- her recent illness and minutes restrictions have put a bit of a damper on that. ISU has 10 regular season games left, so that's 12 guaranteed games assuming we play in a postseason tournament. Here's the remaining apg needed to hit 1000 based on remaining games played:
    • 12 games: 7.75 apg
    • 13 games: 7.15 apg
    • 14 games: 6.64 apg
    • 15 games: 6.20 apg (she's averaging 6.25 apg on the season)
  • Audi is getting close to being on a couple single-season lists. She is only 36 points away from top 20 points in a season and 14 made FG from top 10 in FG made in a season, which is insane when we have a third of the season remaining. Barring injury, she could threaten Bridget's single-season scoring record of 760.
    • 12 games: 24.42 ppg
    • 13 games: 22.53 ppg
    • 14 games: 20.93 ppg (she's averaging 22.24 ppg on the season)
    • 15 games: 19.53 ppg
  • Sydney is back up to 50% 3FG, #4 on the single-season list. Only 20 more attempts before she's eligible for the career 3pt% list.
