Washington State game thoughts

Respect to Wazzu. Their length bothered us early on. Rice is a good player and an easy guy to root for.

We played our C game in the first half and it was tied at half.

This team has a bunch of dawgs on it.

Lipsey should be the new mayor of Ames.

Milan started slow, but was a stone cold killer in the 2nd half.

Curtis Jones continues to be the perfect spark off the bench.

Meh, I know it supposedly didn’t move the money needle, but I’d gladly have taken them over Utah. I think WSU would have fit in well with us. Utah seems like they think they are too good for us and will always be looking for the next offer.

Not a great game at all but that was still enough to handle them in the last 10 minutes or so. Gritty team win.

I really have a lot of respect for their coach and team! Their temperament is similar to our team. They play with intensity but seemed to carry themselves with class! Even when Gilbert got into it with one of their guards, ultimately they both were "cool" with each other. Another reason I wish we could have WSU and the Beavers in the Big 12 instead of BYU and Ariz State.

Down by 7 to start, win by 11….. that’s a 18 scoring margin… way to gut it out when we didn’t have the A game.
WSU was well prepared to start the game, good coaching

No annoying players, seem like a likeable bunch. Their coach also didn't seem like a douche. They had a great game plan, we just had more dudes. Huge how we got their two bigs in foul trouble in the first half.

Eh, they were pretty bad but there were some bad calls both ways.

One of the turnovers we created they showed a replay of we clearly fouled on.

We didn't play bad. We didn't shoot well early. After the 1/11 start we were basically 50% and we were 50% from 3 and we made our FTs. We make 3 or 4 more shots in that cold start and this would of been a 20 point game midway through the second half.

The slip and fall by that player that was called a foul on Lipsey was ridiculous.

This team is has a chance to be special, it keeps finding a way through the tough games, beating the teams it should beat, and beating the highly rated.
