Walking Dead

Hey Y'all!

They are showing all of the The Walking Dead on AMC starting yesteday. I'm just sitting here watching them while I "work" from home.

Season 2 just started and they just got to the point where Andrea went from "slightly annoying" to "would sacrifice her to walkers for a candy bar".

I've seen a lot of season 2, and all of season 3. I'm good now.

The other side of the AMC marathon right now: Every episode has about half an hour of those annoying Kevin Smith bits with cast and crew. They say nothing (of course), and sometimes repeat the same ones during an episode. That made the marathon yesterday tough watching.

Do we still need spoilers? If so nobody continue.

for me it was mainly the season 2 soliloquy fest that really made me want to barf. Season 3 showed my favorite parts of the comics in a somewhat different but still interesting light. The idea of them taking and the maintaining the prison as a potential long term strategy was far more interesting to me than hanging out at a guy's farm that was bound to be overrun. I agree though that there was still a little too much that could be done without at times stretching the story out...Andrea's character is just so annoying and she's the coolest one in the comics. My wife basically says she won't watch again unless Andrea gets killed off.
 
I noticed there was a marathon yesterday. But I swear to ALL THAT IS HOLY, every ******* time I turned it to AMC to try and watch the episode that was on, there were FIFTEEN ******* MINUTES WORTH OF COMMERCIALS. How in the **** did anyone watch this? JESUS ******* ******, AMC.
 
It's called a DVR. I went and got lunch, came back and have been watching commercial free for a while.

If you really want commercial free then watch them on NetFlix.


Personally I don't mind the Kevin Smith stuff. I just got to see some more Loren Cohen (Maggie), that was worth it for me. Rrrawr!

Season 1 is the best.

I still like season 2 because, though they didn't get anywhere physically, they did develop characters and added a few that I still like.

Season 3 was interesting because it introduced the new challenge of factions. After a while, if you have stable territory to defend against walkers, the real challenge is supplying your survivors. That's when factions start fighting like they did in Season 3.

Some may not like 2 and 3, but I still think its the best show on television, which is impressive since it's not on a premium channel.
