Walking Dead

it was a boring episode. i feel like we're back in season two with shane, where it just takes an agonizing amount of time for anything meaningful to happen.

At least they seem to be building toward something big with "The War" pending. Clear was awesome, at least for me though last nights was a bit slow.

Pretty much a filler episode, but at least some people in woodbury wise up. It's amazing how lose the storyline is from the books. Feel like I am watching the planet of the apes remake with Mark Walberg except good.

Actually last week's episode was filler. Morgan is a side-story, not part of the main plot. The only purpose of that entire episode (as far as the main plot is concerned) was to establish some sort of friendly bond between michone and rick/carl. They found an interesting way to do that with morgan and tied up a loose end from season 1. I'm ok with that.

I'm not OK with the nothing of this week's episode. The writing in this show is at times fantastic, but others cringe-worthy. There's just no inbetween.

I have no problem with last night's episode. We knew a meeting would take place at some point. And I thought they did a decent job of maintaining some tension throughout. I mean, didn't anyone wonder if one of them would take a shot at the other? It also provided some future tension as since both sides and have met and gotten to know each other a little. They aren't strangers to each other now. That's a big distinction and I'm sure will provide some hard choices once the war starts.

It seems like some of you want both non-stop action as well as story development. It's hard to weave a story if the show is 45 minutes of zombie killing.

Here is my thought on Andrea. We did not get to hear her entire conversation with Herschel. I now think team prison has someone on the inside. Listen to how Andrea talked to the gov at the end of the show.

I have read through comic 17 now so I will be really interested to see how this shakes out since things are much different then the books.

As someone who has read the whole series, it's impossible to post any spoilers anymore even if I tried. Anything posted by a reader of the comics can only be foreshadowing...something like the big guy Tyrese might be important...but there's zero way I can know how he will be.

Andrea's plot at this point is about .00001% like it was in the books, the baby is 0% like it was in the books, other "main" characters didn't even exist. The only characters I'd say are "on track" outside of minor stuff are Rick, Carl, and maybe Herschel. I love it though, so does Kirkman, it makes Walking Dead more exciting to me than Game of Thrones even though the production of Game of Thrones is ridiculously well done.

I really like that the show has departed from the books. It makes it interesting and surprising for all fans. If it had tried to stay true to the books there would be a lot of fans disappointed when the strayed slightly. Now, no one knows what's coming.

I think Andrea is totally lame compared to books Andrea, but Herschel, Glen, Carl, Carol and obviously Merle/Daryl are more interesting to make up for it. Michonne and Rick are identical which is awesome. Herschel has kind of become what Dale was in the prison issues. And to show people how "spoiler impossible" it is, we'd still be talking about Dale if spoilers were possible.

Rick minus his hand getting cut off in the books lol. They interviewed the guy that played Rick and he is oblivious to what happens in the comic all together. Was saying how the producer still hasn't sent him the books lol.

Supposed synopsis of next episode.

The episode begins with Tyrese and Sasha practicing their shots. Then Andrea goes searching for Milton to find out what the Governor discussed with Rick. Milton tells her paragraph by paragraph about the trap involving Michonne, the Governor's plan on killing anyone who comes to deliver her (i.e. the more dangerous ones: Rick, Merle, Daryl, Glenn), and what he plans on doing to Michonne. Andrea deliberates whether or not she should just kill the Governor but Milton urges her to go and warn Rick's group instead. Andrea, however, doesn't want to flee; she wants to follow her plan of murdering the Governor that night.
The Governor goes to some stores in Woodbury that night and breaks windows and burns walkers. He tells the townspeople that it was Rick's group who did it. Martinez begins to disapprove of the Governor's methods but also begins to suspect Andrea.
Back at the prison, Rick is keeping watch when he sees something odd amongst the walkers. For a moment he begins to hallucinate and sees Carl as a walker.
Carl suddenly appears behind Rick and asks him what he's looking it. Rick, surprised, tells him it isn't anything.
Rick begins to seriously consider trading in Michonne for the safety of his people but he also considers how Michonne has helped them herself. He considers her a part of the group.
Glenn and Maggie announce that they would like to get married and want Hershell to marry them.
Back at Woodbury, the Governor speaks to Andrea and questions what side she's on. Andrea lies and says she's on his side while smiling at him affectionately. The Governor pretends not to believe her and turns around. (?) Milton sees whats happening from afar and calls Andrea over. He gets in an alley to wait for her. He tells her that he's willing to try his luck outside and accompany her to the prison. Andrea doesn't want to go to the prison because it will ruin her plans.
Milton insists on going to the prison to warn them. The Governor then approaches them and becomes suspicious. He beats Milton, leaving Andrea to help clean his wounds. Milton finally agrees to her plan on killing the Governor.
In the prison, there's a scene where Daryl and Merle are talking about how their separation in Atlanta was convenient because they don't think they would have survived so long otherwise. Merle insists that they should leave the prison immediately but Daryl doesn't want to. He knows that their lives would hanging on by a thread on the road and that the group is tired of running.
While they're eating Beth tells them that if T-Dog, Dale, Lori, Jimmy, Patricia, and Otis wouldn't have died and if they wouldn't have turned away Tyrese's group, they would be a much stronger team.
In Woodbury, Andrea is investigating their weapons when the Governor catches her. He beats her and intends to sexually abuse her when Martinez comes in. He asks if she tried to kill him.
The morning comes, with it a new day, and the Governor sends some men to search for Milton since he is nowhere to be found.
Tyrese and Sasha are keeping watch on their post when suddenly hear gunshots and see a horde coming their way.
Allen, Ben, and two other men appear from the forrest. They are firing their guns and trying to get to Woodbury.
Martinez comes after hearing the gunshots and exclaims for them to go a different direction, as they are leading the horde to the town, but none of the men listen to him.
The men get to where Tyrese and Sasha are. They try to help them but the horde is huge. The walkers grab one of the men and they destroy him. Ben trips and hurts his ankle. Allen runs out of ammo so he drops the rifle and asks the remaining man to help him with Ben.
The man abandons them. Tyrese signals them to climb on one side and Sasha kills some walkers so they can get to the wall. Tyrese pulls Ben while the horde gets closer. Allen isn't able to make it over and is grabbed by walkers. They bite his arms and legs. Tyrese, unable to do anything else, shoots Allen in the head.
Ben can't believe what has just happened and Tyrese confides that he believes Andrea is right about the Governor once he finds out that Allen, Ben, and the other two men were sent to kill Milton.

Ok I've been wondering how the governor can shoot a gun..
Make a finger gun and close your right eye. Now point at something and open your eye. You're aiming way left

Man, what are you used to watching? Thought last weeks episode was intense and plenty happened.

People were wondering when the governer shot up the prison how nobody was getting hit. Well, I guess he was aiming way to the left. .

Kind of trippy when you try it out yourself.

I know. Just like 10 ft away your shot is already 2 feet off

I really enjoyed this last episode, wondering if they'd shoot it out, if merle would make his way there, and where darrell was talking with the governor's tough about the imminent war. Very real feeling.

Interesting.

If you follow the official Walking Dead Twitter feed, it appears the "official" hashtag for tonight is #PreyForAndrea. And Laurie Holden is scheduled for the "death couch" on Talking Dead.
