***Video Board Renderings Released***

Can someone get a mockup of the Power Ranger lightning bolts in the place of the supports? That would really show power. Hell, it's in the name.

lol.

That Neil Diamond song came from the scoreboard! That thing's operational!

Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to blow people's ears out with Sweet Caroline is insignificant next to the power of the Force.

I noticed that there was a tiny image of the scoreboard on the main cyclones.com page that shows the base of the steel towers covered (or concrete). Also, the "I-State Jack Trice Stadium" on each side had been changed from the original renderings too.

Back on topic, I noticed that Cyclones.com changed that imagine to the original drawing they gave us. Wonder if that was a old design, not sure why they would try to keep it a secret that they are adding concrete to the pilers and changing the words on the speakers?

Yeah, seems questionable to me. But, the earlier renderings came from Daktronics, not ISU. So maybe ISU had some minor changes they wanted to make. They HAD to so something with the supports though. You can't just leave those as exposed steel all the way to the ground. Drunk people and kids would be climbing them and falling off. Lawsuit central.

I kind of liked the "Jack Trice Stadium" on the speakers and the idea of branding JTS.

Could be that is the desired plan that hasn't been approved yet. I did think it was interesting that in the article about the renderings it went out of the way to tell us that the actual scoreboard "might" look different.

It has already been stated that the first 10ft or so of the supports will have the exposed steel covered with something to prevent idiots from trying to climb it.

Looks they are close to pouring concrete for the West column pad. It's hard to see, but looks like the anchor bolts are all sitting behind the goal post. They are massive in size! Should be 4 sets of them, with what looks to be a wood template holding them for when they are cast in place. I can't see the East column pad very well, but looks like they may have the concrete in place there? Can anyone confirm that?>
