Not yet. I'm becoming a perfectionist on it. Then the Texas winter storm happened and didn't get to work on it.

But it's up to ~15,000 words I think the last time I checked. It's got a little bit of everything. Almost done I promise

Thanks for investing in the Cyclone experience in Las Vegas. I know it will be worth the wait!

Got allegiant flights out of CR. Crappy times for flights but will get to game and way cheaper than out of DSM.

I'm planning on flying Southwest down due to the timing convenience. I'm sure that will be a hot ticket, but I've never flown SWA before and was curious if anyone know when they should be opening the block of flights for September, roughly?

I just looked on the app and dates are only out until Mid August right now. I’d heard dates should open in March sometime.

Hope you guys don’t spend too much money on going to Vegas. Remember, we need to show up for the Big 12 Championship Game and the Bowl game(s)!

You can fly out of MSP Thur return Sun $271 with seat no luggage on Sun Country. I used to love Sun Country but after the buyout a few years ago not so much. Edit. that price is for afternoon flights, if you are willing to leave at 6 or 7 AM prices go down a lot.

Sun country hits you for carry on also. So you would need to wear every piece of clothing you expect to need while flying.

True but $30 to check one bag/carry on a bag or you could leave early in the morning check one bag for a little less. I'm not a Sun Country fan any more.

I looked at Sun Country out of MSP, and by the time you get all the baggage figured out, you're better off flying Delta it seems like

You go then win at the casinos then you have enough to travel to all the rest of the games. Easy Peasy ;)

Anyone have a sweet hotel deal they've found? I'm still kind of hunting in that department. Plane tickets are booked at a steal of a deal. Also never been to Vegas before. :)

If you booked through Expedia, you could do the Venetian Friday-Monday for $955 including flights from Cedar Rapids. You have to pay $51/nt for resort fees.

Hope Southwest pulls through with some decent rates. I probably have points to cover our flights, but I hate overspending on airfare.
I hate layovers more than overspending. I am willing to drive to MSP, KC, Omaha and spend 2 hrs driving vs sitting in an airport, especially with factoring in less of a chance of lost luggage or delays.

I would have to assume these companies will have to open up waaaaay more flights out of the Iowa region.

We will fly Southwest out of either Des Moines or KC, depends on price and availability. I looked at SW flights this past weekend and they were only out to Aug. 16, so it should be early March when they list their flights.
