Utah slowly slipping away

Well, I’d think that eventually Oregon or Texas may trip us up. But I could see Heacock pulling out some crazy defense to shut them down.
solid point. I was more meaning running the table regular season, but i do appreciate this analysis

I'm not certain Rising would even be granted a medical redshirt. He was injured, but came back and played a whole game. Seems to me Utah would have to prove he suffered an injury during his last game. And to my knowledge, he didn't suffer any new injury.

Did turn his ankle pretty good but continued to play. Doubt NCAA would give an additional year for that particular injury.

They can leave and re-join OSU/WSU in the BrokePAC Mountain conference.

They're replaceable.
Could Utah become one of the conference's most hated schools in year one, even when they are not playing their best?

I think they are just about there.

They'll have to play better but looking at their schedule, things set up nicely for Utah. They have road games at UCF, Colorado and Houston and have ISU, BYU and TCU at home. They have two really tough home games BUT they also get the top two teams in the league at home, that's not a bad thing when you're two games back. They need some help but they'll likely be favored in 4/6 remaining games and they don't lose often at home.

Then basketball is coming where they get 50% of the top ten on their schedule compared to the cream puffs they're used to.

I've never met more arrogant fans, at least their online fans. I genuinely wished we'd have been happy with BYU for that market and just taken Colorado, ASU, Arizona and UConn to round out 16. I don't think Utah is going to be any bigger or better than BYU longterm in the same or similar conference.

Arizona wanted to jump all along, CU got happy with it quickly, ASU got dragged along. Utah should have gotten its wish to stay with Cal and Stanford or WSU/Ore St. Half their fans still think the MWC would be better than Big 12.

As far as I’m concerned, they’re giving Baylor a pretty good run for their money. K-State is edging on strong dislike, though. I don’t really hate anyone else in the conference.

They are certainly not guaranteed a win at Colorado, and they aren't beating both ISU and BYU. Houston could improve by the time they play them as well.

Could be. I'm starting to wonder if KSU at home is the toughest though.

The travel, same altitude/climate and an even bigger crowd didn't seem to hurt us @BYU last year in November.

I think this week it flipped and you're right KSU is toughest game left even though it's at home. They're also highly motivated from last year's historic nature of the loss.
