USA Today Final Poll

This proves that the hawks were right all along. NIT run better than NCAA 2nd round exit.

Scott Drew is a voter. Probably put Baylor number 1 in his submission

They had the same number of wins as us after their glorious NIT run but two more losses, of which we account for two. At least we finished ahead of the Hoks even though they won their Super Bowl.:jimlad:

wichita st at 4 is a joke, so is florida gulf coast at 25. If you are gonna vote WSU at 4 because they made the final 4, then do it for LaSalle and FGCU.
FGCU caught lightning in a bottle at just the right time and then they got exposed by Florida.

I saw that Rob Jeter from UW-Milwaukee is a voter. Remember when we were going to hire him (instead of McDermott, I believe)? They were 8-24 this year, 3-13 in the Horizon League.

Is this a joke poll? Can't be serious.

FGCU is an 11 loss team in the Atlantic Sun. They lost to St. Johns, Iowa State, Lipsicomb (twice), East Tennessee State, Mercer, and Stetson.

I understand they went to the sweet 16, but getting hot for 2 games does not justify this.

Baylor ahead of ISU, please.

Witchita State ahead of Duke, Kansas, and Florida.

Wow. Who votes for this crap?

Florida has been one of the most overrated teams all year long. They're not worthy of the top ten.

so, without looking, what were the final rankings for 2004? anyone know anyone beyond #2? If you do I can see your search history so you better not lie to me.

If Iowa State finished #2 people would remember.

that's my point. does it really matter that ISU is 32nd and Baylor is slightly higher than us? Do recruits think "oh geez now I'll switch to Baylor?" None of this matter except for #1.

You surely didn't make 1,534 posts today, did you? You've been around long enough to know this is butthurt central.

after all this time it still amazes me how sensitive people are. it's like a bunch of tiny politicians over-thinking every possible slight.

I don't think recruits care at all, but for losers like us it's nice to say "hey we finished at ##, cool".
