Update on Jake Knott (He made it!)

I talked with an old aqaintance of mine tonight. Bill Davis.

He would only say that he would love to have Knott on the roster. That he has been impressive.

He did say that if it were up to him....the Eagles would 'find a way' to keep him.

I read all four of those articles . . . good read. :jimlad:

I'm sure it was tough to sit out those games last year, but it was probably the right decision. And even more so once he lands a roster spot

A linebacker that can catch the ball. A thinking man's linebacker. A linebacker that can tackle. A linebacker that can cover receivers. Just a total package.

No surprise. His talent and ability were never in question. It was the injury history that led to him going undrafted.

On a more sobering note, it is widely stated David Sims is a long shot to make the team according to Bleeding Green Nation, one of the local Eagles websites. Sorry, don't have the link.

I would be more surprised if Knott didn't make the team. I know he had an injury, but it still blows my mind that no one drafted him. I guess he will always play with that chip on his shoulder

Looks like Jake survived for now. Eagles have pared down about a dozen guys and Jake's name isn't on the list. They are at 62 now so at least 9 more cuts coming sometime today or tomorrow.

I did a search earlier on both the Eagles and Panthers projected rosters when pared down to 53 men. Both AJ and Jake are projected to be on their teams when done.
