Novel concept here, but since Iowa State considers gold as their other color. Why not use a metallic gold instead of yellow?

I'd go to the games if we had a new uniform for every one. More chances to buy jerseys for my basement.

And I say this as a guy who cannot resist joining discussion/obsessing in uniform threads.

How about changing football to black and neon green for football? Always been my favorite color combo and it would disassociate the suck from our basketball team.

When things are bad and you really have no way of effecting change you can choose one of two paths. You can wallow in your misery, gnashing you teeth and rending your garments or you can find a diversion and attempt to make your life better despite your misfortune. This thread is obviously an attempt at the latter. There have been about 50 threads attempting the former just since Saturday.
I agree Roundball already summarized all that needs/always is said in these threads, but I wanted to add this Kagavi rendering of a revised tornado helmet (bullet point #7) in case others had not seen it. I argue that would get us a few extra wins a year.

This is a really cool idea, it could incorporate the past of Jack Trice in new uniforms and be unique to ISU. It'd be cool if someone could give a visual representation of this.

Yeah, we can't go with black, but I think we could do a dark grey, with Cardinal numbers and letters, Grey helmet, no yellow.
