Uniform Question

If Penn State tells Adidas they want black uniforms made Adidas will tell them no?

Where can I read more about this? Haven't heard that story before.
I have been on this board for a long ass time, stopped posting for a long time, been banned multiple times but I specifically remembered someone posted an article from the ISU daily about it. This was like 15-16 or 17 years ago, when I suggested to use a cyclone horn and the tv alert system. I don't have anything to back this up, but I'm not crazy, I don't think. There was an article ISU played at Stanford and the coach saw it and copied it. Maybe it's BS, I'm not an investigator but someone posted an article that looked scanned in on here. There's no reason for me to make it up.
I mean the daily has been around forever, and I'm not going to go through microphish to find it, also AI is unreliable and says we never played them, but iirc it was an exhibition game from a long time ago, thinking like pop warner days.

I never posted that article, can't remember who, but it was a picture of the daily saying it.

Anyway if someone really wants to look into it more, some of my banned accounts were Zombiecyclone, Lakelaverne. That was long ago and I barely post here anymore, but it would probably more beneficial to search something with the ISU daily about it.
and yes I made some stupid comments back then, I don't do that anymore.

It also seems plausible since if you look up the first 49'ers uniforms look like nebraska.

we should be aligning with USC or the niner unis vs our USFL experiment over the last 40 years.

When we switched colors in 2007 (ish), we introduced 2 'shades' of cardinal and 2 of yellow - primary vs. secondary, etc.

The football uniforms specifically - from a Nike perspective, were at 1 point the exact colors used by USC; I had thought this was reported and confirmed here (by folks close to the athletic department branding/trademark/athletic mark area). Even though technically at a University-level, the pantone/HEX were not a 100% match - Nike didn't "care" - we just got what USC got (which is awesome).

I don't recall that this has actually changed recently either (for our Nike uniforms). And even though our uniforms this past 2 years, in some pictures, do appear to be a different tone of "Cardinal" (e.g., looking more 'red' than they used to), I have not been able to confirm if that actually are different. I think the 'white' accents in our uniforms has thrown things off a bit to the naked eye.

Aside from the white accents, comparing the shade of cardinal from the old jersey's vs. new jersey's in the exact same lighting environment is difficult. Our new Jersey's look different shades of cardinal at night vs day-time games, and different shades in sunny vs cloudy games.

I wonder if Indiana fans are concerned about Indiana looking a lot like Oklahoma, Alabama and/or Arkansas. I mean, come on Indiana!!

Well, since OK and Indiana both have "Crimson and Cream" as their official colors their uniforms will probably look similar. And, since they just won a Natty I'm guessing Indiana fans don't give a flip about their uniforms being similar.

I don't think we've used "gold" since the 60's maybe? Hell, not even sure.

Since the Nike transition in 2003 (and upgrades to various package levels over the years), we have never used gold. Various tones of "yellow", which can differ to the eye based on lighting, what accents are around it, etc.

Utilize the block -I by itself like the wrestling singlets ffs. Its iconic. Plain and simple yet so badass. Those alone got me back into ISU wrestling. No joke. Made me think they were serious about going back to the way things once were.
Yes! I love the wrestling block I, and the robes.

I agree, not sure why I like it, it's just a letter, plain. But it looks nice.

I also think the I-STATE without the state part would look nice. And without bevels.
